I took a bit of a liberty, guys. Writing Magazine is starting a new monthly feature on writing circles and groups. I emailed them about our beloved forum, and they've sent me a letter of response.

They want to do a feature on us, showing extracts of our work. They were particularly impressed with GC's poems, and the various features of our forum.

do you really think it's possible to make AU go live?

Of course. If we had enough activity (we're talking thousands of members rather than tens) and Writing Magazine were stumped for what they could put in their pages, it would be entirely possible to go live.

ACTUALLY, you can get Authors United anywhere in the world, without a computer!!

Ive just discovered that my phone is a WAP phone (even though i've had it for nine months now! d'oh!), and I can check AU on the move. True, it takes bloody ages to load up, and it's unreadable, but it CAN be done!

that will improve with time. It would be quite nice to be able to check the forums wherever you are.

I already discovered that :D .. i check out my friends bands website if i need to check when gigs are etc... :) but it doesn't load everything the same - i can't get into topic forums etc.. only gig pages... :(
