Title: The Countdown to Christmas!
Description: um..how many days to go?

DragonLady4 - December 5, 2004 08:37 PM (GMT)
So it is Christmas (nearly)

and what have you done?

Another year over (nearly)

A new one (nearly) just begun...

Yes, its a song. And also Christmas may mean PRESENTS to many a small child/big child/adult (size of font for added emphasis), its also about other things too, primarily, well, the fact it's a Christian celebration about Jesus' birth, let us not forget. So...20 days to go!

Gemsykins - December 5, 2004 10:32 PM (GMT)
Wooo! Christmas!!!

*decks room out in tinsel and fairy lights, etc, etc*

Sorry, what was that about Jesus? Oh, right, his BIRTHDAY... Hmmm... [/cynic]

Grogdon - December 6, 2004 05:26 AM (GMT)
We've go our Christmas tree up already. It's weird, almost every year I have to try and convince my parents to put it up. It's almost like a yearly tradition.

DragonLady4 - December 6, 2004 09:20 AM (GMT)
Lol, I sold £170 of Xmas decorations yesterday at work...to one person. And they were small tree decorations too

19 days...

Kaithar - December 6, 2004 10:56 AM (GMT)
great, so this thread we get to post how many days are left.

our decorations normally go up 1st or 2nd week in december, thankfully i don't haveto help put them up.

DragonLady4 - December 6, 2004 03:06 PM (GMT)
you also discuss Xmas, obviously. Just a countdown in numbers would be boring.

We don't have ours up yet

Kaithar - December 6, 2004 03:14 PM (GMT)
really, When does yours normally go up?

DragonLady4 - December 7, 2004 10:32 AM (GMT)
no idea. I'll tell you guys when they do.

18 days...

Gemsykins - December 8, 2004 11:46 PM (GMT)
The weekend before Christmas day, because my step-dad is a boring, uncelebratory fart. If I had my way, they'd be up NOW!!

Grogdon - December 9, 2004 06:13 AM (GMT)
Just nag. *Nag* *nag* *nag*, *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag* *nag*

See isn't that annoying??? :P

Kaithar - December 9, 2004 11:03 AM (GMT)
yes, it certainly is, although it doesn't work all the time.

aine - December 9, 2004 07:29 PM (GMT)
i dont want anything this christmas!!!
THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!!

Grogdon - December 9, 2004 07:44 PM (GMT)
Hey I was kinda the same. I told my mum that I didn't want much this X-mas. But I think I might be regreating it.

aine - December 9, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
hihi
should have just told her you're not quite sure what you what
i wont be getting what i want for xmas anyway so i'm not that excited about this xmas.
i'm actually in a really crappy mood!! this xmas is gonna be crap!

Grogdon - December 9, 2004 08:44 PM (GMT)
Don't think that. just think of all those kids that don't even know what chritmas is.

aine - December 9, 2004 08:45 PM (GMT)
dont make me cry!!
i'm really emotional about thing like that!!!!

aleana15 - December 9, 2004 08:52 PM (GMT)
Christmas!

I love christmas; family, food and firends :D

Don't know when my family will get around to putting decorations up. They haven't got the tree yet, so they're probaly waiting for me to do it when I get home.

I like carol services as well - been to one already and will probably go to another on Sunday. I think I just like the excuse to sing - but they also remind you that there's more to christmas then a man in a red suit :D

aine - December 9, 2004 08:57 PM (GMT)
aaarrgh not long till christmas and i still have no presents for anyone!!!

Kaithar - December 9, 2004 10:12 PM (GMT)
you'd better hurry up then.

carol singing isn't bad but the ability to sing normally helps it.

aleana15 - December 10, 2004 03:15 PM (GMT)
No, you don't have to be able to sing - thats the good thing about it. There are usually so many people in the church that nobody notices if someone is singing out of tune at the top of their voice.

DragonLady4 - December 10, 2004 03:18 PM (GMT)
ah, another example of Christmas spirit ^_^

15 days...

aine - December 10, 2004 10:21 PM (GMT)
i cant sing and i dont even try to, becasue i know i will embarass myself in front of everyone!

Gemsykins - December 10, 2004 10:27 PM (GMT)
You could always mime. Thats what I do. It's also great if you've got the words in front of you and don't know the tune.

I'M GOING HOME TOMORROW!!!!

But even only travelling to Stansted still takes 4 hours. But it's mainly waiting for the train... So I shall be buying me food. :D

Kaithar - December 10, 2004 10:50 PM (GMT)
i always find that funny when they try and get you to sing a new song and no-one knows how it goes so you just get some odd mumble

aleana15 - December 12, 2004 06:53 PM (GMT)
I'm coming home a week today! its going to be strange not having to walk up hills all the time.

When I go to church i never seem to know any of the songs, so i've got quite good at picking up the tune as i go along.

aine - December 12, 2004 07:18 PM (GMT)
well i got a nice suprise today!!
i failed my music exam!!! <_<

my whole family including my mum are home for christmas.
something tells me that this christmas is going to be quite bad!

Kaithar - December 12, 2004 09:55 PM (GMT)
great. well try to enjoy yourself whatever.

i normally find i am quite quick at picking up the tune. That is if you can here a tune and not just mumbles of people trying to sing but not having a clue how it goes.

Grogdon - December 13, 2004 08:34 AM (GMT)
Do you guys like go around the streets knocking on doors and singing for them like they do in TV shows or something?

DragonLady4 - December 13, 2004 09:16 AM (GMT)
Hell no.

12 days...

Kaithar - December 13, 2004 10:28 AM (GMT)
no. Most of the carol singing that goes on outside is to raise money for charity i think.

DragonLady4 - December 13, 2004 10:36 AM (GMT)
It should be. Otherwise its no better than trick-or-treating

Kaithar - December 13, 2004 10:40 AM (GMT)
actually it worse, give us something or we'll torture you with our bad singing.

DragonLady4 - December 13, 2004 10:43 AM (GMT)
yes, but some people get violent when they get nothing on halloween

at least you can just put on a walkman and headphones and turn up the volume

Kaithar - December 13, 2004 11:00 AM (GMT)
i suppose so. You do have a good point there.

Grogdon - December 13, 2004 11:37 AM (GMT)

I think she always has a good point. It's hard to catch her out without one.

Kaithar - December 13, 2004 12:45 PM (GMT)
