Well I've never done a RPG before, so you'll have to bear with me. Hopefully this is ok. GC said he didn't want to do a King/Queen character, so I've had a go at creating one...
Name: Nienna Sîrfalas of the House of Moon (first house)
Race: Elf
Occupation: Head lady of the First House and Queen of the Elves.
Weapon: Four silver rings (one for each elemental power) that she recieved at her coronation, and a silver dagger.
Apperaence - She has a typical elfish face - pale and narrow with near flawless skin. She has long, stright black hair that she either wears tuucked behind her pointer ears or is pinned up seculy around her head.
Her height is, again, around the average for her race. The only strange thing about her appearence is her eyes that are coloured a deep purple, a feature that she inherited from her mother, though she knows of no other elves that have purple eyes.
She wears cloths that are fitting to her status - usually long, figure-hugging gowns made of expernsive materials. Her favourite one is a rich green with silver-thread detail of ivy down the skirt and sleaves. Giver the choice, however, Nienna would be quite happy to wear human clothes, though she rarely gets the chance in the forest.
On her slender hands she wears the four elemental rings, and she also wears a pendadnt of a silver cresent moon; the symbol for her husband's house.
As with all elves, her looks do not trufully retell her age. A human would guess she is in her early to mid thirties. She is infact 362, around middle age.
Abilities: Like all elves she has the abilty to communicate with nature and the creatures within it. Her rings magnify this power and allow her to harness some of the power of the elements, for example she can use the powers on wind, rain, lightning and the moon. She has in the past had premonisions in dreams, but she has no control as to when these visoins appear and what she sees in them.
Outside of magical abilioties she is very skilled with her dagger and she can also use a bow an arrow. She is intellegent and has a good long term memory.
Weaknesses: Without her rings, her power is weak compared to most elves. Her mind is often filled with sadness and guilt at the loss of her child and she worries about the future of the elves and wishes that she can play a part in saving her race. She feels uncomfortable in her role as queen and often wishes she was human, but her love of her husband and people keep her on her throne. She also has difficulties believeing in religion since the death of her unborn child.
Biography
Nienna was born into the House of stone, the third house of elves. She was raised in the elven capital, the eldest child of her parents. but her lack of magical ability meant she never expecetd tobe much more then a lady in waiting to the queen, or one of her daughters.
During times of heavy fighting she helped at the Royal Imfirmary, nursing wonded elves and other alies in ways that did not need much magic.It was here that she meet the second Prince of the Moon House after he was wonded. They fell in love and married when the fromtlines qietened down. All was well untill his elder brother was killed in battle, and her husband was not first heir to the throne. The king and queen were unsure is Nienna was a suitable Queen, but there was nothing they could do. She became Queen when she was 253 years old.
Soon after that Nienna was with child. The King had always traveled around his kingdom, and Nienna wanted to be with him as much as possible, so she carried on travelling with him for the early part of her pregnancy. It was on the way back to the capital that her travelling party was attacked, and she was injured. The baby was lost and she will never be able to have a child.
Today she works closely with her husband to help run the realm though these difficult times. She uses her intellegence and beauty to compensate for her lack of heriatage and magical abilities. she is worried about the future, as she can see possible battles for the throne that lie ahead when the king dies. visions that she sees in her dreams give her determination to aide the quest for the hidden weapon as much as she can - though she dosen't share these rare visions with others.
She accepts her role as Queen, but sometimes she wishes she was a human - or a halfling, they don't have a care in the world!
