Alright, here is something I wrote for a site when I was 11 years old. So bear with the the spelling. The only thing edited was the names.
Chapter 1: Laguna McCloud
A star shot across the night sky. Laguna’s soft green eyes lit up in amazement.
Laguna was a seventeen-years-old; his hair was a majestic brown, and his skin was light. He wore a blue, open over vest, with white shirt underneath. His black pants were nearly invisible in the darkness of the night. He was lying on an immense rock by the lake Hyial, enjoying the company of the stars and the lake’s fish.
Hyial was a deep-water lake just off the out skirts off Midgar. It was said a great battle waged there five-thousand years before, between the great Laguna McCwilliam and the Black Dragon of Ra. It was, for the most part, never visited. Laguna came here from time to time to escape the world and its needs.
As looked at his reflection in the shallow water, with help of the moonlight, he heard a familiar voice call his name.
A figure began to form far of in the distance. Laguna could not help but to wonder how the figure could identify him, when he could not even make out the cloths he wearing.
After a few minuets, the man came close enough for Laguna to make him out. It was Clairc Lockheart, his friend and rookie mage.
Clairc stood at 5’6. His blond short hair shined brilliantly in the moonlight. His blue eyes were still visible in void of the night. He wore a black sleeveless shirt and white fighting pants. He cared his walking stick, which stood at about his height.
“Hello Clairc.” Laguna said tiredly. He wasn’t too excited to see him. They lived in the same cabin, about two miles west, into Green Leaf Forest.
“I thought I would find you here. What are thinking about?” Clairc asked as climbed up the rock.
“Nothing much … why do you ask?”
Clairc lied next to Laguna on the rock. “I’m looking still for a training partner. You and I are both are sighed up for the tournament tomorrow and I was thinking…”
“No!” Laguna interrupted.
“But why not?” Clairc asked.
“I’m tired.”
“Laguna, we need to train. We will stand no chance tomorrow if we are not prepared.”
“Sorry” Laguna said. “I’m just to tired right now, maybe tomorrow.
“We will not be able to afford to support ourselves if we do not win this. ”
“Maybe.” Laguna said.
“But…”
“Clairc!” Laguna interrupted again. He looked at his friend’s eyes. Clairc has his friend for as long as he could remember. They built their cabin together thirteen long years ago. Both parents were killed during the last war, but Laguna and Clairc found each other and manage to survive.
“Alright. Not tonight” Clairc sighed.
“Thank you. Your right about needing to be at our best. Let’s head home and get so sleep.”
“Sounds good.”
They both jumped down from the rock, and began their journey home. About half-an-hour later they arrived at their one-bedroom log cabin. It was small and in the out backs, but it worked. When they walked in side, the room was tidy and clean.
When Clairc was nervous, he would sometimes start cleaning the cabin till it could not be cleaned any further. There were two beds on the opposite sides of the room from each other. There were two closets, one on each side. There was a nice carrywood desk on the back wall. There were two doors one that led inside from the front and another in the center wall, leading to out to the back yard.
“Home sweet home.” Laguna smiled, “let try get some sleep.”
“You go right ahead Laguna. I’m going to train a little more before I hit the sack.” Clairc leaned his walking stick against wall next to his bed.
“Give it up” Laguna said hopelessly. “Good night.”
“Good night Laguna.”
Clairc woke early the next morning. He had dressed and ate while Laguna was sleeping. Clairc could help but to be as load as possible. He wanted Laguna to be well awake before they left in the afternoon for the tournament. It was ten a.m. and Clairc could not wait any longer. Clairc quietly walked up to Laguna’s bedside.
“Laguna… wake up Laguna” Clairc said in a whisper. “ … Laguna… Laguna… WAKE UP LAGUNA!”
Laguna jumped six feet in the air and landed on his backside. He quick sat up and screamed “I thought I told you to NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!”
“Get up” Clairc said calmly. “We have a lot to do to day”.
“What do we have to do?” Laguna asked with a smile.
“The tournament.” Clairc said in a low voice.
Laguna rubbed his head and blinked a few times.
“ Alright, you won, let’s get ready.” Laguna said tiredly.
“ Let’s get ready?” Clairc said in a sarcastic worried voice “I have been ready for three hours now. Oh Laguna, your hopeless!” Clairc had his walking stick out and by his side. He wore the same cloths from the night before. Clairc was one of the few human wizards. Heck, he one of the few pure humans still alive. The only pure other human he knew of was Laguna. To have two pure humans in the same room was very rare. Often people had mistaken him for an elf.
“Fine, just let me get my gloves and blade then.” Laguna said with a yon.
Laguna stood up and walked to his closet. He opened it, then took out his level 1 longsword. Although it was low level sword, it did the job.
“Alright, ready.” Laguna said tying the sword to his belt.
“Great.” Clairc said with excitement in his expression.
They walked out into the backyard. Luckily this time of year, the forest was cool and green. They had a little area clear of trees for practicing their fight skills.
Laguna and Clairc walked out into the center of the cleared area, and then face each other.
“So, what spell are you going to use to get pasted the goblin chief in the wizard division”, Laguna asked?
“No clue. I will most likely throw a few fireballs. I might just use that one attack I have been working on."
“Sounds good.” Laguna said, “Well, should we should start with some mortal combat to get warmed up?”
“Yes.” Clairc said with a slight smirk on his face.
Laguna leveled his sword to Clairc, “You attack first….”
Clairc charged Laguna as full at speed, his staff grasped tightly in his hands. Laguna took one step back, ready for Clairc’s attack. Just as Laguna was beginning to ready his block, Clairc jumped into the air.
Holding his staff high over his head, then muttered the spell, “expanall… co… ra! ”
A fireball appeared at the end of his staff. As Clairc was falling to the ground, he slashed out with his staff, causing the fireball to fly at Laguna.
As the fireball flew, Laguna had just notice Clairc had cast the spell. Laguna quickly took his sword and batted the fireball upward into the sky. The sudden force throw of balance. Laguna flew of his feet and landed six feet back.
Clairc landed on his feet with a cretin grace as Laguna sat up.
“I said mortal combat, Clairc!” Laguna said shortly after caching his breath.
“Sorry.” Clairc said with an evil grin.
“Let’s try again.” Laguna said standing up.
They warmed up for about a half-hour. Dogging Laguna’s sword, blocking Clairc’s kicks, and Laguna running for his life, when Clairc pretended to accidentally cast a spell.
The tournament was in the city Midgar; about 12 miles from where there home. The afternoon came quickly. After lunch, Laguna and Clairc stared the long walk.
“ I heard that the humans division is somewhat larger then last year,” Laguna said, somewhere on the way.
“ So, you mean that there will be someone for you to fight this year?” Clairc asked in a somewhat sarcastic voice.
Laguna laughed softly.
“It is four men and two lades from what I remember.” Laguna said scratching his head.
“Remember any names?” Clairc asked.
“There most likely fake.” Laguna answered.
“Figures.” Clairc said without expression.
They finely made it to Midgar. Midgar was an immense city. Small shops and homes lined the street mostly. The arena was a fairly new add-on. To get to the arena they would have to call a taxi.
Laguna and Clairc were on the sidewalk, waving for a taxi.
“Taxi… Taxi… TAXI!” Laguna screamed hopelessly as taxis passed by. “It’s no use.” He said flatly. “Clairc you try for a change.”
“Alright.” Clairc walked up to the edge of the sidewalk. He cleared his tort, then place his hand to the air. “TAXI!!!”
A two-person taxi road up to the side walked. The carriage was carried by a magnificent black horse and the seats were made of high quality red leather. The diver pointed to their weapons and said “Put your weapons in the back. Are you heading to the tournament?”
Laguna’s moth dropped wide open. “How… but…”
“Yes!” Clairc said before Laguna could finish.
“Get in!”
Clairc laughed as Laguna came back to reality. They put their weapons in the back, and jumped in.
“We are in a hurry, if you know what I mean” Clairc tolled the taxi driver flashing him some gold.
“Yes, sir!” blurted the driver, taking one look at the gold.
The taxi road off into traffic head on traffic.
“So, are you two competitors?” the diver asked. The driver was a big man. He wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans. His heir was blond and his eyes where beady.
“Yes.” Laguna answered, looking out into the city.
“What divisions?” the driver asks looking at Laguna. “Wait, I know, the elf division.”
“No, sorry, I’m a human.” Laguna said with his head still turned.
“A human?” the driver look shocked. “Are you… a whole human?”
“Yes.” Laguna sunk into his seat, hoping the diver would change the subjected.
There was a long silence, until Clairc said, trying to lighten the mood, “I heard that the goblin chief may come from orc territory this year.”
“I heard that to.” The driver said. “So, are you a wizard?”
“Yes, but I’m a low class wizard.” Clairc said shortly. “Still in the rookies”
The driver looked at Clairc, then said coolly “Yeah, but everyone has little change to win.”
“I never say that I didn’t have a chance.” Clairc said rater boldly.
The driver let out a horse laughed.
Clairc and the driver talk for awhile. They tolled jokes, talked about the tournament and how Laguna’s division is slightly larger than last years.
The taxi came to a stop in front of the arena.
Clairc and Laguna jumped out of the carriage, after getting their weapons, and gave the man his last gold pieces.
“We are here.” Laguna announced to himself.
“Now what do we do?” Clairc asked.
“We go to the to the back of the arena, and wait with the other competitors.”
Laguna took seat in his division’s lounge. The lounge was a small room on the second floor of the arena. There was a small table in the center of room, with chairs all around it. Clairc had gone of to the wizard lounge, where he would stay until it was his turn.
Three strong looking men, in around their thirty’s, stood in group near the balcony, where they could over see the fights. Two beautiful women, of his about his age, stood on the opposite wall from himself.
The three men were laughing among each other about the ages of the two women and the women were getting ready for the fights ahead.
Laguna sat quietly waiting for his turn to fight. He over heard the women talking about swordsmenship
“Damn, I would show you my sword, but I can not get it out of this damned scabbard.” She had long wavy blond hair and purple eyes. She was wearing blue leather armor with a short sword at his side. Although her expression was worried, she still seemed beautiful.
She caught Laguna’s eye and then made a gestured to come over to her. Laguna stood up, nearly tripping over the table, and slowly walk over to her.
“Hello.” Laguna said smoothly. “You wanted me?”
“Yes!” She said togging hard on her sword. “Will you help me with this? I see you have sword of your own. Why is this thing not coming out?”
“Because you’re doing it wrong.” Laguna explained. “Don’t tug on it like the that. It’s all in the wrist. Just gently pull it out using your wrists, not your arms.”
She tried to do as she was instructed, but it didn’t work. “It’s not working.” She frowned.
“Here.” Laguna said reaching for his sword. “Like this.” He drew his sword gracefully. “Now, you try.” She tried again. It came out part way. Laguna shook his head. “No, like this” Laguna grabbed her hand and gently move her wrist. The sword finely came loose. “That’s to keep people from stealing your sword on the battlefield”
She smiled, “Thank you. My name is Aria Strife. I am not use to this type of sword. I have always trained with wooden swords.”
“I’m Laguna MCcloud.” He said to her. “I live here, About twelve miles out of Midgar.
Aria put out her hand. “It was great meeting you.”
“You to.” Laguna said shaking her hand.
Laguna walked back to his chair and watched Aria draw her sword again and again, until she did it right.
Laguna hear over the intercom, “The elf division is starting in ten minuets. If you wish to watch the battles, step out on to the balcony over seeing the battle area. Thank you.”
Laguna didn’t like the elf fights. Each elf was given a mercenary to fight. The two elves that beat the mercenary the fastest or the two that survived will battle. Who wins will win their division in the tournament and will receive the prize money of sixteen thousand gil.
The divisions were the elves, dwarves, wizards of any race, and humans.
“The Elves fights are begging!” The intercom announced.
Laguna heard the mercenary being released, but didn’t pay to much attention. Laguna sat back down in his chair and slowly fell a sleep. He slept through the dwarves fight as well.
A couple hours later, he awoke to the intercom announcing, “ The wizard fights are begging!”
Laguna stood up, out of his chare. Clairc had already gone. Laguna walk over to the balcony with the other competitors.
The crowd cheered as the first wizard stepped out into the arena. The wizard wore an expensive level 50 full plat armor. His staff was radiating a dark red light. He looked like a human. He had long white hair, light skin and black devise eyes.
Laguna sensed something evil about him. He knew Clairc would have to give it all he got just to stand a chance.
“Zephiroth!” The intercom announced. Zephiroth had an expression of that he wanted to get it over with. The arena doors slammed.
The goblin chief was teleported into the arena. The ground shook as with is footsteps. Its green skin shined brilliantly in the afternoon sunlight. Its teeth added to its vampirish like appearance. With its long twisting claws and it pitch black eyes, it looked unstoppable to a human. Not something to many people would like to mess with.
“Let the battle begin!” The intercom roared.
The goblin chief began to charge, but for some reason, it stopped. It was looking into the man’s eyes. Zephiroth held his staff up high and screamed, “ Herrasdash!”
A storm of black clouds flew slowly over the arena. Swirling around and thundering. It began to rain.
The crowd was stunned. They talked between each other.
Laguna’s eyes narrowed. He knew what Zephiroth was doing. He was summoning the power of lightning.
The clouds gave one more thundering roar, and then shot bolt of lightning from its center. It flew down to Zephiroth and created a field of lightning, surrounded him.
He smiled and yelled ,“Herradblast!” Lightning shot from his staff at the goblin chief. The chief eyes widened. The lightning bolts struck. The goblin flew back into the stadium wall. The goblin was stuck there. Dead. .
The lightning field around Zephiroth disappeared, and the black clouds vanished.
Zephiroth held his staff high above his head. He was expecting applause, but the crowd was silent.
The competitors on the balcony, were stunned at what he had done. Most were stun because of his power.
All Laguna could think of, is how Clairc stood a chance. He was now sure that Clairc wasn’t bring home the prize money.
Aria left the balcony. Laguna saw her as she walked out into the arena’s hallway.
“Follow her….” A voice said in his head.
“What?”
“Follow her, and bring your sword.”
“Who are you?” There was no reply.
He grabbed the hilt of his sword and followed.
She walked out of the arena. Laguna still followed, trying not to be seen, he knelt in the shadows. She stood on the sidewalk. She looked around, making sure no one was watching. She never noticed Laguna. She drew her sword and gazed deeply into the blade.
“Zephiroth is here.” Aria said. “It must be time for earth to die.”
“For earth to die?” Laguna’s face turned white. “What dose she mean, time for earth to die?”
Her sword glowed a vibrant blue as a face formed in the blade. It was only elf, with no hair on its head and a long white beard.
“No. That’s not for another two-thousand years. We can’t lose the earth yet. The holy power is still in the center of the planet. We can’t let Zephiroth…”
The ground stared to shake under Aria’s feet. five black, wolf like, creatures arose from the ground. One of the creatures garbed Aria. She dropped the sword and let out a high pitch scream as she tried to brake free of the monster’s grasp.
Laguna was not thinking. All he could hear was the blood flowing in his ears. He jumped from the shadows and charged into the group of woman drawing his sword. He lopped off the wolfmen’s head, which held Aria. He quickly helped her to her feet and stood in front of her.
The wolfmen turned to face him. Two of the Wolfmen charged Laguna was uncanny speed. One of the creatures passed Laguna as he blocked the other wolfmen’s attack with the flat side of his blade, and garbed Aria. Again she tried to brake free of the monster’s grasp, but it was useless.
Laguna quickly countered and stabbed the wolfmen, which attacked him. He still could only hear his blood flowing through his ears as he charged at the monster holding Aria. He stabbed his blade into the monster’s back and quickly pulled the sword free. The monster fell dead to the ground still holding Aria-.
The other two wolfmen looked as though they could not believe their eyes. Before the wolfmen could get over their shock, Laguna had charged.
Laguna slashed out at first one, killing it instantly. Then he slashed at the second, but some how, it had caught the blade. Laguna jumped back, now realizing he was disarmed.
“How the hell? How can stop this thing now?” Laguna thought to himself.
The wolfman charged. Laguna braced himself for the attack, but it never came.
Aria screamed again, louder this time. The monster had run passed Laguna and garbed hold of Aria. Laguna was flabbier gassed. How could something be so fast? The wolfman smiled. Laguna’s soft green eyes were locked on Aria.
“Can I save her?”
The wolfman placed his claws to her neck. Laguna was about to charge, when she place her hand up, gesturing to him to stop his attack.
With much fear in her eyes, she had said, “Don’t Laguna. We both know if you attack now to save me, you will be killed. The wolfman is too fast of a counter. You must be the Laguna of the prophecy! Run….”
Laguna stopped all movement.
A tear slid down her face. “Goodbye… Laguna!”
The wolfman slit her neck with its razor sharp claws. She fell to ground. Tears welled up in his eyes. He lost her. He had failed to protect her.
The wolfmen quickly charged Laguna, it claws hungering for more blood. He jumped back, trying avoiding its deadly claws, but he was a little late. Its claws tore the fount his shirt, pursing his skin. Laguna fell backwards to the ground. The wolfmen stood above Laguna, with and evil smile on it face.
Laguna thought he was going to die a brief moment, but then, something happened. He felt a force building up inside of him. He didn’t know what it was, but he did know he still had enough strength left in him to finish this fight. He jumped up with breathtaking speed, trying to ignore the pain in his stomach. The wolfmen was thrown of balance by the speed of Laguna’s comeback; He took this chance to strike the monster with all his might. It fell to the ground from the power and suddenness of the punch. Laguna found his sword lying on the ground beside him. He quick picked it up and placed the tip of the blade to the wolfman’s neck. The wolfman was still smiling. Laguna trusted his sword through it neck, killing it painfully and slowly.
Laguna walked over to Aria’s corps; her face was horror-stricken. “She did not deserve to die like this. Not like this…. Wait… she is bereaving!”
The cut had not penetrated her air pipe. She opened her eyes. Laguna smiled
“Think you….” She said.
Laguna felt unbelievable happiness fly though his mind. She was alive. He closed his eyes for a moment to realize what just happened. When he opened them again, she was gone, The wolfmen’s corpses were had also vanished. He was alone, on his knees on the sidewalk. He placed his down in front of him. Blood stained its tip….
By the time Laguna arrived back in the lounge, he heard the intercom announce, “ Now, for the wizard championship. Clairc Lockheart Vs Zephiroth!”
Laguna was amazed that Clairc made it to the finale battle. He walked over to the balcony to see if he could find a spot to view the battle, through the other competitors.
The two wizards were just walking into the arena. Clairc had many scars and scratches all over his face. Laguna guessed that Clairc’s fight with the goblin chief did not go as smoothly as he had hopped.
The crowd’s cheers could be heard all through the arena. Clairc and Zephiroth shook hands. Clairc’s expression was ready. Zephiroth’s expression looked rather bored. They stepped into their sides of the arena.
“Let the battle began!” the intercom basted.
Zephiroth spoke a quick word and lifted his hand into the air. A blue light appeared at his fingertips. “TYU”
The blue light shot at Clairc like a laser. Clairc was muttering something as the beam hit the ground in front of Clairc. Dust was thrown up into the air, making Clairc invisible for that moment. When the dust cleared Clairc was gone.
Zephiroth stood in place, with a smirk on his face. “He is good.”
Clairc voice yelled, “Expanall… co… ra! ”
A fireball flow from the sky, then Clairc’s voice yelled again, “ Spilt ub tu”
The fireball spilt in two and flew at Zephiroth from different angels. Zephiroth lifted his hand into the air. A red light surrounded him as he muttered a charm. His eyes had turned red. The fireballs hit, but to just reflect off his magical shield. Both the fireballs flew back into the sky, from the direction they came. Laguna heard Clairc scream as a great flash of light filled the sky. Clairc body fell from the clouds, to the unfriendly earth.
“He was in the sky” The intercom announced.
Zephiroth walked up to Clairc.
“This is the great power of earth?” Zephiroth said laughing softly. “This is what the earth is protecting it self with?”
Clairc didn’t move.
“And to think you have be foretold to have the power to destroy me!” He said. “Very well then, I’m sorry to have to do this to you.”
Laguna didn’t understand what he meant by that. Zephiroth eyes glow red again. Wolfmen appeared on both sides of Zephiroth.
“Kill him!” Zephiroth commanded to the wolfmen.
Laguna’s heart jumped, his blood could be heard in his ears again. Laguna look around the balcony, not knowing what exactly what he was looking for. One of the competitors had a bow and arrow on him. With out thinking, Laguna took the bow and an arrow from him. The competitor was confused and did try to resist. Laguna shot the arrow a Zephiroth.
As the arrow flew through the air, Zephiroth’s turned to the arrow quicker then the eye could see. The arrow stopped in midair, floating inches from Zephiroth face.
“Who shot that?” Zephiroth commanded.
Everyone on the balcony took a step back leaving Laguna standing alone.
“You shot that? Zephiroth commanded of Laguna.
Laguna hesitated for a moment, but finally brought himself to say, “Why do you want to kill him?”
Zephiroth eyes glue again, and Laguna found himself standing in the center of the arena.
“Do you think you can stop me, human? Zephiroth said laughing softly. “You want him, come and take him!”
Many thing was going through Laguna’s mind, “What is he was talking about? How do those wolfmen keep popping up everywhere? And how did I manage to get out here?”
“I’m waiting!” Zephiroth said.
Laguna drew his sword ready to protect himself if he had to.
“Now really, to you think you can stop me?” Zephiroth asked.
“I won’t know till I try.” Laguna couldn’t think of much to say.
“Have it your way.” Zephiroth said, “Kill that one first!” The wolfmen began to walk towards Laguna.
“Not again!” Laguna thought to himself. “What I’m I getting myself mixed up in? First it was that blond girl, now this!"
The wolfmen ran at Laguna their claws in striking persuasion. Laguna eye’s narrowed, he took his sword and slashed out at the wolfman that just got into striking rang. It fell backwards into the ground.
The others stopped without warning. “What are doing?” Zephiroth commanded. “KILL HIM!” but the wolfmen didn’t move.
“Expanall… bu… ki!” The wolfmen all let out bone chilling screams, as they all slowly turned to ice before Laguna’s eyes. It was Clairc standing behind Zephiroth, his hand pointing where the wolfmen stood. “Good wolfmen are hard to come by these days.” Clairc said mockingly.
The crowd scattered, yelling and screaming as they ran for the doors. At that moment the ten arena guards came out to the arena floor. “Stop where you are” one of them yelled leveling his blade at Zephiroth. Zephiroth lifted his hand. Within an instant the police officers flew back into the arena wall.
“Stay out of this” Zephiroth said in annoyance. “Looks like the earth has call for help. Oh well, I guess I have to teach them both a lesson.” Zephiroth took his staff and tapped it three times against the ground. With a flash of light, it turned into a long, red sword. Laguna spent most of his life mastering swords and knew every type of sword there was in this part of the galaxy, but Laguna didn’t know what type of sword that was. That meant one of two things, that Zephiroth wasn’t from this part of this universe, or that sword was one made by magic.
“Is there any last requests?” Zephiroth asked smiling.
“Yes, answer me this one question, what is all this fuss about the earth dying?” Laguna asked
Zephiroth looked stunned, “You honestly don’t know what’s happening do you?”
Zephiroth laughed looking into Laguna’s eyes. “What’s your name boy?”
“What does it have to do with this?” Laguna said returning his look.
Zephiroth frowned, “Enough talk!” Zephiroth took his sword and slashed Laguna diagonally between the eyes leaving a long bloody scar. “That’s to remember me by!”
“You’re not going to kill us?” Laguna asked.
“Not anymore. This is interesting. You’re both too weak. Its too early in Clairc’s childhood for him to recognizes his true power, and you, you’re not even in this failing prophecy.” He put his sword away and vanished.
No one was in the arena. No one in the crowds, no one at the stands, no one…no one at all.
“Clairc.” Laguna asked whipping blood out of his eyes.
“What?” Clairc asked as he leaned on his staff.
“Do you know what’s going on?”
“No.” Clairc said looking into Laguna’s eyes.
“Clairc?”
“Yes?”
“Why are you spinning” Laguna asked with a sick look on his face.
“What?” Clairc asked confused.
“Clairc?”
“Laguna, are you alright?” Clairc asked.
Laguna dropped to his knees, “I guess not.” Laguna said before he collapsed.
Laguna awoke in a dark room. His vision was very bleary and couldn’t make out anything. He tried to sit up, but it was useless. He laded there for about an hour until he his site came back. He could make out that he was in a hospital room of some sort. He laded on a small, stingy bed with white sheets and a soft polo. He saw his closing along with his swords lying on a desk next to his bed. He felt a bandage warped around his head where Zephiroth hit him. He tied siting up again, but it was still useless. An anther hour went by, and Laguna finally sat up. “How did I end up here?” He thought. “ Nothing makes any sense. Who is Zephiroth? Is he… real? He can’t be real… if he has power like that...”
Laguna heard voices outside of the door.
“The boy is alive? That is impossible! No one has live through Zephiroth’s poisonous blade!” he herd one of the men say.
He heard another man say, “It seems that the boy lived through the poison.”
“Yes… yes the boy lived, but where is the Great Clairc” he heard an old sounding voice say.
“He’s down the hall to the left.” The first man said. The door opened. Light came into the room like an explosion. Laguna was blinded for a moment. When his site came back he could see tall sender wearing a suit and tie. His hair was a sandy brown and skin was peal. He also had a briefcase with a symbol of a silver lion’s head. Laguna’s eyes widened, that symbol meant that that man was from Soldier. Soldier was the galaxy army. This man looked to be top rank commander. There were six ranks in Soldier. Rank one was rookie level. Rank two was ether-advanced fighter or rank one commander. Rank three was expert fighter or rank two commander. Rank four was worrier or commander of rank three. Five was soldier secant class or top rank commander. Rank six soldier first class then there was the captain of the whole Army. Laguna knew because he has an older brother in Soldier.
“Your awake!” The man said. “ Amazing!”
“Why are you here?” Laguna asked trying to get up.
“Lay down.” He said. “ I’m Yugi…”
“Top commander in Soldier.” Laguna finished for him.
“Very good.” He commented. “We saw every thing you did today, from the wolfmen to Zephiroth.
“Please before you say any thing else, tell me who Zephiroth is.” Laguna asked trying to get up again.
“Lay down! I won’t tell you again!” He ordered. Then the question hit him. “You don’t know who Zephiroth is?”
“No!” Laguna put his hands to his forehead.
“Why did you fight him then?”
“He was trying to kill my friend Clairc.” Laguna said. “Where is Clairc any ways?”
“You know the Great Clairc!”
“Great? Now they’re calling him the (Great) Clairc!”
“There is probably many things you don’t know about. Thing I don’t have time to explain.” He said putting his suite case on Laguna’s bed. “I came to offer you job in soldier!”

That is really good writing. You were 11? :o You wrote better then, than i may ever hope to write. I just humor people in my writing. I wonder if i can make me a career out of that. :blink:

wow, thats v. good! are you sure you were 11? Are you sure that you didn't dream that you were 11 and sleep-write it? :P ah well...I have no idea what times I wrote things.
Hey Goose, I, too, add a bit of comedy to my writing, mainly sarcasm and jibes from the characters, but slapstick sometimes pops up. :D And hey, Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin (I think thats his name) do funny writing!

Thank you everyone. Well, here comes my second chapter. I was still 11 when I wrote this, so please bear with the spelling and detail.
Chapter Two, Lost
Laguna awoke in a dark room. His vision was bleary, which made it hard to make out anything. He tried to sit up, but it was useless. He laid there for what seemed hours while he waited for his sight to come to.
He now could make out that he was in a hospital. He was lying on a small metal spring bed with white sheets and a soft white blanket. It did bother him a little that there was no polo, but it beat sleeping mud, like he had done many times before.
His cloths, along with his swords, were lying on a desk next to his bed. He felt a warm bandage warped around his head. He assumed that was where Zephiroth cut him. He tied siting up again, but it was still useless. All he could do was think to him self quietly.
“How did I end up here?” He thought with no expression. “ Nothing makes any sense. Who is Zephiroth? Is he… real? No, he can’t be real… with has power like his… I would have heard of him. Is Clairc all right? Is he here to? Damn it! Why can’t I move?”
Laguna heard faint voices in the distance. He realized it was coming from the hall and were closer with every step.

Another man said, “It seems that the boy lived through the poison.”
“Yes… yes the boy lived, but where is the Great Clairc” an old voice snapped out.
“He’s down the hall to the left.” The first man said.
The door opened. Light streamed into the room like a vapor. Laguna was not blinded like one would think. He enjoyed seeing the light once again. It took away the possibility of him being dead.
A tall elf with long, dark hair entered the room. He was wearing a brown leather suit and a pitch black tie. He carried a briefcase with a symbol of a silver lion’s head.
Laguna’s eyes widened. That was the symbol of Soldier.
Soldier was the planet’s army. This man seemed to be top rank commander. There were six ranks in Soldier. Rank one was rookie level. Rank two was ether-advanced fighter or rank one commander. Rank three was expert fighter or rank two commander. Rank four was worrier or commander of rank three. Five was a soldier, second class or top rank commander. Rank six soldier was a first class soldier or a general.
Laguna knew this because he has an older brother in Soldier. He had left the planet many years ago for a battle. He never came back.
“Your awake!” The man said. “ Amazing!”
“Why are you here?” Laguna asked trying to sit up again. This time a great pain was building up in his back, as he lifted himself higher then before.
“Lay down.” He ordered. Laguna frowned, but did as he was tolled. “ I’m Zack…”
“Top commander for Soldier.” Laguna finished for him.
“Very good.” He commented. “We saw what you did today. Not many men would stand up to Zephiroth.
“Please before you say anything else, tell me, who is Zephiroth?” Laguna asked trying to get up again.
“Lay down! I won’t tell you again!” He ordered more forcefully this time. Then the question hit him. “You don’t know who Zephiroth is?”
“No!” Laguna put his hands to his forehead. He was getting a headache
Zack starched his head, pondering for a moment. “Why did you try to save the other boy out there?”
“He was trying to kill my friend Clairc.” Laguna said. “Where is Clairc anyway?”
“You know the Great Clairc!”
“Great? Now they’re calling him the ‘Great’ Clairc!”
“There is probably many things you don’t know. Thing I don’t have time to explain.” He said putting his suitcase on Laguna’s bed front. “I came to offer you job in soldier.”
Laguna stayed in that room for a week before the doctors’ even considered letting him walk outside. All he could think about during that time was his new job in Soldier. He had accepted after thinking about it for day, but was glad he did. He was now going to be a rank four worrier. Usually they would start someone off as a rank one rookie, but from what the commander saw of Laguna’s skill with the sword, he promoted him four ranks to start him off.
Laguna was given permission to leave the room in search for Clairc. Clairc was in another hospital room not to far from his own. Laguna had not fully recovered from the affects of the poison yet, so the trip seemed like miles.
When he finally came up to the door of Clairc’s room, he was stopped by a small old dwarf. He wore a gray dress robe and held a great staff twice his size.
“The great Clairc rests in that room, and wishes for no one to disturb his sleeping.” The old small man said.
Laguna looked at door and then said “ Sorry, but I do not have the patience to deal with you now.” Laguna took one more step towards the door. The old lifted his hand into the air. Laguna stopped dead in his tracks. He tried to move, but it was like his body had gone one strike. “What sorcery is this?”
“Who are you?” The old man asked
“My name is Laguna McCloud. I am Clairc’s friend. I came here to speak with him”
“You’re a friend? Well then how do you know the great Clairc?”
“Please don’t call him that.” Laguna said putting his hand to his head. His headache was coming back.
The old man noticed the bandage. Then he held his hand to touch him.
“What are you doing?”
“Stand still!” The old man tolled him, but he didn’t listen. “Where did that come from?”
“Oh this? I got it in a fight.”
“With whom?”
“A man named Zephiroth.” Laguna tolled him.
The old man eyes widened. “You’re the one who fought by the Great Clairc! Please come in.” The old man opened the door and poked his head inside. “Master someone is here to see you.”
“Please stop calling me that!” He heard Clairc’s voice say. Laguna smiled and walked into the room.
He found Clairc lying on a small bed. He had his arm over is eyes. He looked sleepy. Clairc pulled his arm from his eyes then look a Laguna. His expression was happy, but he did not say anything. They looked at each other for that moment. No one moved. No one talked. It was lucky they were bereaving.
The old man broke the silence “If you need anything master, just call me.” He said walking slowly out the door. The door slammed shut behind him.
“Are you alright Laguna?” Clairc asked.
“I’m fine. What is all this I hear about you being a ‘Great’ Clairc? And who was that old man?”
“Laguna I… can’t lie to you like the old man told me to. I take a part in a prophecy, foretold by the gods them selves. I have been tolled that I must destroy that man we fought.
“What?” Laguna asked taking a seat on Clairc’s bed.
“He is here to take the earth’s spirit… the holy power of earth.” Clairc looked down at the carpet next to his bedside. Laguna saw for the first time in his life, fear in Clairc’s eyes. “I am the one that has to stand up to face him.”
“Maybe it’s a different Clairc that has to fight him, not you.” Laguna put his hand on Clairc’s back trying to ease him.
Clairc threw Laguna’s hand of him then said harshly. “Do you think that didn’t cross my mind? Do you think I am not in the least bit scarred? Do you think I was not shocked when the old man tolled me who I am? I feel as if my entire world has just found its resting-place on my shoulders! And one more thing… sorry, I did not mean that.”
Laguna patted his back again. “No, I am sorry. I know this must be a hard time for you, but don’t worry, I will be there at your side.” Laguna clenched his fist his other fist. “I promise.”
“But Laguna, you’re not in this prophecy.”
“Forget the damned prophecy! I will not leave you.” Laguna stood up as he spoke those words.
“Laguna, in the prophecy it said that every brave man that stands in his way will die. But where they will fail, I will exceed.” Clairc took a good look at Laguna and then knew no mater what he said; Laguna would not change his mind.
“So, what will happen if he gets a hold of the holy power?” Laguna asked pretending not to hear what Clairc had said.
“I don’t know Laguna. Something about becoming a god, but Laguna, it is not good.”
Laguna was lying hopelessly in his bed. He was sent home two days ago, but Clairc had to stay. Laguna had been pondering.
Clairc was some sort of hero of time and he wanted to help, but was now in solider and had much reasonability. He could not just go or do any thing he wanted. He had to do what they wanted. He kept thinking about what the commander said his first mission would be. He was had to accompany Clairc to the planet Quynos as a bodyguard.
Laguna had never left the planet before. He would have never believed it possible if his brother had not.
He was due at the spaceport in two hours, so he had packed up and began his long walk. “ Am I ever going to see Clairc again after this?” He thought. “ Will I make it to the top rank in soldier? What will I do after all of this is done? Will Clairc come back when he defeats Zephiroth? Can he?”
Laguna decided not to worry about it at that moment. He was in a too far of a beautiful meadow to want to care. He watched as the butterflies flew to flower to flower and the birds as they sung in sky. Laguna tried to keep a smile on his face, but he gave up after awhile and walked on.
He tried to get a taxi, but it was useless. He never could figure out how Clairc ever got them to stop. He had only an hour left. He tried to jog down the streets, but it was useless since there was so many people in his way. He had thirdly-minuets left.
Two unkempt looking men stopped him in front of ally. The first one was as tall as Laguna, and wore a torn up gray T-shirt with brown deer skin pants. His face was rounded like a pineapple, Which Laguna was a little amusing. His hair was black and short. He had a long beard, and had blue eyes.
The other one was short, about 4.8, and had the same cloths on. His face was thin. He had red hair and yellow eyes. The first one was the one that stopped him. “What is a guy like you running down streets like this?” The sort one asked. “It can be vary dangerous at times”
“If you are trying to sell me something I don’t have time for it.” Laguna said trying to get past them.
The tall one pushed him into the ally than said, “Well then was are going to have to make time!” Laguna, ready for an attack, walked slowly backwards till he was at the end of the ally. The tall one took out a knife out of his sleeve and the short one pulled a metal bar from his pant leg.
“Can we talk about this?” Laguna asked scratching his head and putting on a smiling.
“I don’t think so.” The tall one said.
“We don’t have the time.” The little one said with a smirk. The bar came tarring through the air at Laguna. Laguna duck as he kneed the man in the face. The man fell to ground, and then yelled to the big to help him up.
“Give us your money and we will let you go.”
“Sorry, but I don’t have any.” Laguna smiled again. “Can I go now?
“Who said anything about going anywhere? You must not live to tell anyone about us.” The tall man trusted his knife at Laguna’s chest. Laguna sidestepped out of the way, hitting the ally wall with his side. The short man had found his way behind Laguna and jump on his back. The tall one came at him with another attack. Laguna grabbed the short man with breathtaking speed and threw him from his back into the man, causing both of them to fall.
Laguna took this chance to run, but another unkempt man was at the end of the ally waiting for him. He was a giant of about 7’1. He was bald and looked vary dangerous. Laguna stopped, just out of the man’s reach as the other two stood up.
The short one screamed, “I will love seeing you die!” They both ran at him side by side. He went for his sword, but then realized he had forgot it at the cabin.
"Great!” He thought to him self. “Now what I do?”
Laguna shrugged, realizing there was only one thing he could do. He charged at the one with the knife. The man trusted his knife at Laguna, but he dogged. He caught the knife hand and pulled the man in front of the others attack. The knife flew from the man’s hand, as the smaller man hurled into him causing them to fall. The knife flew to the end of the ally where the giant man stood.
Laguna knew if he did not find something to fight soon, they would catch him off guard eventually. He looked around and found an old rope lying beneath him. Laguna assumed a merchant most likely left it behind some time ago.
“NOW YOU DONE IT!” said the short man yelled. “Rage get over here.”
The large man slowly walked down the ally way. His footsteps seemed to shake the earth, causing Laguna to take an only step back.
“His name is Rage.” Laguna laughed quietly, trying to hide his fear. “I suits him…. What do I do now? I wish to die yet … no! I can’t be thinking things like that! It will surly bring my death.” Laguna frown, but took two steps forward. “There has to be way out. I only have a rope, but it should be enough.”
Raged passed the two men and took one gigantic step forward to meet Laguna’s stance. He and looked down at Laguna. Laguna looked back up at him, to meet his stair.
The two men smiled. “Kill him!”
Rage held his gigantic fist up to Laguna. His deep, grainy voice came like a heart attack “Have you ever stirred into the eyes of the devil?”
“Yes. I remember your father.” Laguna said, none flinching.
“Hmmm, looks as through we have a smart ass on our hands boys.” Rage announced as the two laughed.
With a final cackle, he launched a deadly punch at Laguna’s forehead. Time seemed to slow down for Laguna. As he watched the punch fly at him, he simply tilted his head, keeping his feet planted in the same place. Rage’s fist flew passed Laguna at a hair’s distances, crashing into the ally’s wall. Rage let out a high pitch scream and went to backhand Laguna, but Laguna ducked, causing him to hit the opposing wall. This kept up for a few minuets till Laguna was forced into corner.
Rage’s grin was toothless and evil as he felt pride for finally caching Laguna. He raised his fist to Laguna’s level. “Now little man, its time for you to die!”
“Not just yet!” Laguna said as Rage launched his last deadly punch…. It missed! His fist crashed through the wall, into the building. The sound of his knuckles breaking echoed through out the ally. Laguna had run up the wall next to him. He rid the wall till he was behind Rage and kick of. Whale still in midair; he launched a full power kick to the back of the Rage’s head. Causing his face to fly into the wall to, leaving an imprint. Laguna landed with the same grace as Clairc when he would jump into the air. Rage’s face slid down the wall, bleeding, broken, and unconscious.
Again, Laguna spotted a stray rope. He quickly picked it off the ground.
Both men were stunned. “I’m out of here!” The tall man screamed as he began to run to the ally opening. The short man followed after a second to adsorb what he had just saw.
Laguna smiled, “Why should I let you leave? You would not let me no matter how hard I tried to make peace. You’re not leaving…GET OVER HERE!” Laguna took the robes and launched one at each of the men. The ropes both severed as whips for that moment. Both ropes stuck the men in the back of their necks. The force of the strike caused both of them to tumble to the ground. Laguna ran over to them and push both them down again before they could stand. He punched them both, over and over again till they where unconscious.
Laguna could have killed them, but it was not within him. Punch each of them one more time, and then stood up. He walked to the opening, outside back into the street. He fell to his knees, bereaving hard and rapidly. He looked at the ground in front of him. He was sweating. His sweat traveled down his brow, and fell to the earth. He saw the shadow of a street lamp on the ground. By the size of it he realize that he had only about twenty-minuets to get to the spaceport. If that!
“I’m going to be late!” Laguna, ignoring the sweat in his eyes, took of into a run down the street. Pushing everyone whom might have crossed into his path.
He made it to the spaceport without a second to spare. He slipped into the back boarding line as the ship was loading. All the men were wearing the Soldier uniform. A blue combat suit with sliver trimming. The logo of the sliver lion was imprinted on their chests.
The port was an immense one. Many men and elves walk up and down the hallways. The floor and walls were made of a white marble, with a touch of green. Laguna assumed that the ceiling was made of glass, because of its transparency. He saw ships shape like birds and bees fly overhead.
The line traveled outside onto a platform on the second story where ship stayed. The ship was shaped like a dragon with it’s wings spread and its claws ready for and attack. It’s sliver coating shined majestically in the sunlight. The warriors were boarding the ship by walking into mouth of the dragon.
One of the commanders inspected Laguna before he entered the ship. The man was tall with a bolding head. His red eyes and a nasty scowl seemed to peruse through Laguna’s very being. He also wore the Solider uniform. “Where is your blade and uniform?” The commander asked.
“I left it at home sir.” Laguna said smiling back at him.
The commander’s face went red. “What? You act like this is your first day! You are a bodyguard of the great Clairc! How could you have made it this far with your lack of reasonably?”
“Hmmm. Sir, this is my first day.”
“WHAT!” The commander yelled. “They are sending boys with no experience on a mission like this? What are they thinking?”
“Stop it there!” Zack said coming seemingly out of no where, holding a note. “This is the boy who fought Zephiroth with the great Clairc. Don’t you remember the description I gave you Rodger? ” Zack’s tone harsh and bitter.
The commander took a look at Laguna and then his face went scarlet. Sweat came from his brow.
“I’m sorry.” He said at last. “Clairc is in the ship already.”
Laguna was going to tell him not to apologize, but Zack cut it. “Good. Never let I happen again!”
“Yes sir.”
Zack gestured Laguna to follow as cut the line of warriors. He followed him into the ship. He never thought it would feel so great to finally walk into a dragon’s mouth. After the episode in the ally, Laguna felt more then happy to finally have seat in the blast up center.
“Laguna, this is your first time on a ship, is it not?” Zack smiled in the seat next to his.
“Awww, yes. Yes it is.”
“Clairc said the same thing. Well, let me show around. I bet you would rather not take off in this blasting room with the soldiers. No, you would like to blast off in with Clairc in his personal blasting room.”
Laguna’s green eyes went soft. He was going to see Clairc. “Yes I would.”
“Well follow me. First you see the ship, then Clairc.”
Laguna followed Zack through out the ship. In this ship had three stories. The first story was for the blasting room and the warrior’s corridors. The second was for the kitchen, bathrooms, entertainment rooms, and escape pods. The final floor was for Clairc’s personal blast room, his corridors, and the pilot’s room.
Zack gave Laguna the tour of all this, up and down the metallic halls. Afterwards, they headed up to Clairc’s blast room.
A blast room was where the passengers would stay during the blast of to keep them safe. It would protect them from both the G-force and loss air.
Laguna asked Zack on the way to Clairc’s blast room. “How does this thing fly?”
Zack smiled. “Look out the window during the blast of and you will see.”
Laguna and Zack reached the blast room where Clairc was already seated. He was wearing a Soldier uniform like all the others. His face lit with joy at the site of Laguna. “Laguna! Sit down! Sit down! How have you been?”
“I have been fine, but what matters is how you have been.” Laguna responded, as he sat in the seat next to the small window. Zack took a seat to other side of Clairc.
“I’m fine. You know that. So, you made it to Solider. Are you going to go look for your brother next?” Clairc said trying to change the subject.
Laguna looked at him and laughed. It was true that Laguna tried to get into solider a few times. He wanted to follow his bother’s footsteps and come back with enough money to live in a nice home with Clairc and the woman of his dreams, but now, it seemed to come at a price.
"Every one remain seated we will blast off in one minuet,” The pilot side over the intercom.
“Alright you two,” Zack said, “Take a look out the window to see what I was talking about.”
Clairc looked out his window while Laguna looked out his own. The count down began.
“10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Blast off!”
The platform, which the ship stayed, lifted high up into the sky. He could see ten elves outside on the plat from. They were all muttering a spell together.
Laguna could not believe his eyes. The ship around him seemed to come alive. The wings of the dragon began to flap, flying them higher into the sky. The elves still were muttering. The dragon faced the sky as it flew now. The elves had cast an immense fireball spell at the dragon’s tail. Unlike what Laguna had thought, the dragon did not scream out in pain.
Zack sat down in one of the seats and said, “Its tail is on fire. Sit down now. The elves are going to cast one more spell. They are going to have to fire blast back down at the earth, which will increase our speed intensely. Just shut your eyes, we will be in space soon….”
Clairc and Laguna had talked in Clairc personal corridors for a few hours now. They had discussed thing they had done thing together year before, how the nether of them had heard about the prophecy till now, and how cool the blast off was.
“Clairc, what happens when we reach the planet?” Laguna asked after a long silence.
“You go home and I spend a few days there before I head of to the planet Duas to begin my training as a master mage.” Clairc said, his expression sad.
Laguna looked away form Clairc, so he did not see Laguna’s tears “After this trip, we will not see each other again.”
“Don’t say that! If I live through this….”
“If?” Laguna turned to Clairc. “If!”
“Please Laguna, there is no reason to kid our selves. If I am not the one, then I die.”
“But…”
“Pirates are on the ship! I repeat, pirates are on the ship!” The captain’s voice came from over the intercom.
Laguna’s heart missed a beat, as both him and Clairc jumped from their seats. “Pirates? I thought they were only at sea!”
The Zack rushed into the room. “We must get you out of here!” He said to Clairc.
“Why are they here?” Clairc asked. “And how did they get on?”
“There is no time to explain, just come with me!” Zack yelled.
“Please, tell me!” Clairc said before Zack could grab his arm.
“All I can tell you is that they are here to kill you!”
“Why?” Laguna asked. “Isn’t he suppose to be here to save them for that evil guy back on earth?”
“They are non-believers, and want to prove he is not the one!” The Zack screamed louder then Laguna ever heard he scream. “We need to get him to the escape pod!”
“Yes sir!” Laguna said. The Zack threw Laguna a sword and Clairc his staff. Zack grabbed Clairc’s arm and ran out the door down the hall. Laguna followed. The halls seamed endless. With turn he took, he wished to see the pods.
“GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!” a voice came from the direction they were running. They had turned a corner when a figure came brushed out of a group of dead warriors. A sword came tarring through the air at Clairc.
Laguna had no time to think. All he could do was react. His sword came in between the path from the opponent’s sword and Clairc’s face, creating a spark, which had burned Clairc’s cheek. Zack took Clairc and ran down the hall as Laguna stood with his sword to the opponent’s. He looked up and saw a face he had not seen for 10 years.
“Rohan?” Laguna said with is eyes unblinking.
The man looked at Laguna and was equally as shocked. “It can’t be!” The man said at last. “Laguna?” They dropped their swords and looked at each other. Rohan looked almost exactly like Laguna, but the hair was blond and short. The sword he had dropped was a level seventeen longsword. Laguna did not know what to do. They looked blankly at each other for a moment.
Then it hit Laguna. What is his brother doing attacking Clairc, “You tolled me in a letter that you where in Solider! What are doing attacking this ship?”
Rohan snapped back to reality as well and said, “First, what are you doing here?”
“I am Clairc bodyguard.”
You believe he is one? It’s all a damn lie! The Great Xie is the one!”
“Xie? Who is Xie?”
“The Dark Swordsmen! The only way to defeat evil is with evil! The prophecy states that a swordsmen bent on destruction will overtake Zephiroth. Not a boy with a staff!”
“Even if that’s the case, he has been my best friend as long as I can remember, and I can not back down on him!” Laguna said with a touch of anger in his voice.
“You mean to tell me that kid you grew up with is the faker Clairc? What the luck of that?”
“Why are you attacking this ship?”
“Because I was hired to do so!” He said. “You must leave now or you will die when this spaceship hits the planet Giyae.”
“How could you kill so many people and not care?”
“Laguna, this is my real job and this is my real life. Now step out of the way!” He tried to push Laguna out of the way but Laguna would not budge. “Move Laguna, NOW!”
“It looks as though we have to fight to see who does what!” Laguna said pushing his brother back.
“I hate to kill family.” He said.
“If you leave now this can all be avoided.”
“Sorry Laguna, I can’t.” He picked his sword off the ground. Laguna did the same. “Sorry… Laguna!”
They began to charge at one an another, but at that moment, the ship shook even more violent then the last time.
“Oh crap, that means it is time to go. Bye, hope you make it out alive.” Rohan ran down the hall from which he had came.
Laguna ran to the escape pods but they all where gone! Laguna knew at any moment the ship would break through and hit Giyae. He ran to the pilot’s room to see that the pilot was dead.
The planet was coming up fast. Laguna knew very little about these things but he knew how to pull up on the stick. So he did. The ship was still coming in to fast. He knew he was going to die.
“What am to do? Even if I do live through this, I will be on Giyae, the Planet of the Giants. Humans are kill on sight there. So this is how I die? Well, god take my life now to spare me the suffering.”
Out of no where he heard someone say, “You can’t die… not yet. You have too much to do with your life. You can’t give up now!” Laguna did not know where the voice came from nor did he even think about it. A sudden burst of strength came through Laguna’s body. He pull back on the stick as hard as possible. The ground was near and Laguna was still coming in to fast. The ship began to slow. It looked as though Laguna was going to do it, but luck was not that kind. The stick had broke! Laguna fell backwards to the ground as the ship skidded across the ground of the planet. Laguna had no control over the ship direction. His life was now in god’s hands. The ship slowed after a few minuets and stopped. Laguna was alive.
Minus a scar on his leg, he was unhurt. The ship was in ruins. He was able to leave the ship for the pilot’s room, which use to be on the third floor.
Laguna fell to his knees once outside. All he could see was the endless desert of Giyae. He did not know where Clairc was. He did not know where Rohan was. He did not know where he was. He was lost… lost on Giyae!

Oh, I’ve nearly forgotten about that. I’ve been thinking of re-writing the chapters and posting them up for awhile now. You know, actually recognizing the viewpoint character for what he is, spell checking, and more twists. Would you like that?
