Title: RP Central

CyanideWyrm - July 25, 2004 09:15 PM (GMT)
As some of you might have already heard, I have my own roleplaying site. However, I'm quite busy at the current time, and I require a few things from people.

One of these is administrators. I've promised Lugana a position, but I would be more comfortable if there were three around, preferably someone who can be on quite a bit. Also, one of the problems I've noticed is that I live in a different time zone then the rest of you, so I would need an admin on when I can't access the site.

Another thing would be a site plug. I'm really bad at getting sites to be known, so it would help if someone can spam the net for me ;) I don't know how I could reward someone for this, but I'll think of something.

Lastly, and most importantly, is MEMBERS!! JOIN THE SITEEEEEE!

Here if you need a admin I'll help, and I'll try to advertise the site as much as I can. ^_^

what do you have to do if your an admin just out of interest? :)

CyanideWyrm - July 26, 2004 08:17 PM (GMT)
The administrators will all be central to the main plot of the story, and shall keep the forum going. For example, when a random encounter occurs, the admin shall take control of the monsters and the battle system. Some admins may also take control of some NPCs, furthering the plot.

That's some of it, and there might be more in the future, but that's the gist of it.

that simple ey?!

CyanideWyrm - July 27, 2004 07:13 PM (GMT)
Lol, not quite as simple. For random encounters, a person only has to stay in an area for an hour. That means that the admins have to be on a fair amount of time to make sure that people meet monsters every once in awhile. This has to be done very carefully. If you do it too little, people won't level very fast; if you do too many, they will get upset and complain.

Gemsykins - July 27, 2004 07:36 PM (GMT)
 Yes.... simple...

Huh? Lol.

this is just too much for me.
brain overload.

Lol, it's simple when you get the hang of it. I'll explain a little better.

To move your character from place to place, you must pass through certain boards, which act as roads. As you pass through each board, you make a post that you have entered that area, and then wait for a manditory hour. During that hour, should an admin decide to have you fight a monster, he shall reply by saying that there is a battle underway, what kind of monsters are in the battle, and how many there are. Any characters in the area at that time can assist in the battle, but I won't go into details about how battles work right now. After the battle, the rewards and experience shall be given out, and the character may leave after it. Also, if you enter an area, and are encountered by a monster, you do not have to wait the rest of the time in the area. You are free to continue down your desired path.

I think that makes more sense.

yes youre right it does make more sense but its still too much to do. i dont like being in charge and i'd hate to be am admin cos you have to keep things in order (you should see my room) and orgonise stuff.

how do people do it?

CyanideWyrm - July 29, 2004 04:20 PM (GMT)
Lol, it's because a lot of us don't have lives outside the internet, such as I. And, the only reason I'm not on more is because I'm forced to use my parent's computer, due to lack of desk for my own.

aine - July 29, 2004 05:33 PM (GMT)
i'll be glad to help with a minor job cos i'm on quite a lot. all of my friends abandom me cos theyve gone to the jamboree or on holiday. :(
but i'm here most of the time. ;)
