Title: Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings?
Description: oooooooooooohhh.....
DragonLady4 - June 24, 2004 09:46 AM (GMT)
heheh...it'll be interesting how this poll goes...both of htese have been made into films, too..
aine - June 24, 2004 03:16 PM (GMT)
the third film lord of te rings is way too long. i got bored in the cinema. so i started to annoy my dad. he he
harry potter is a really predictable film. i think it is a little bit childish, and the fact that sarah and marie like daniel radcliff so much is just scary.
Kaithar - June 24, 2004 09:46 PM (GMT)
lord of the rings all the way. harry potter isn't bad but it isn't in the same class as lord of the rings
The Thought Fox - June 25, 2004 05:21 PM (GMT)
Tolkien versus Rowling?
no contest - chalk one up for the dead guy!
aine - June 25, 2004 07:58 PM (GMT)
the best book i have read so far is " the hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy " by douglas adams. i thought it was a briliant book.
DragonLady4 - June 25, 2004 08:08 PM (GMT)
Elizabeth Haydon - Rhapsody, Prophecy, Destiny (3 diff. books)
You HAVE to read these. High fantasy at its best, and funniest.
Ah, the muffins! (that being from the book, not just random)
aine - June 25, 2004 08:12 PM (GMT)
i like weird random things, but not in books. i like it when a book has a good story line and some jokes in it.
DragonLady4 - June 25, 2004 08:14 PM (GMT)
well, it make sense in the book, cos this guy thinks that the girl is older than she lets on, and talks old languages, which she pretends she doesn't understand.
He thinks he's says 'you have a nice bum when you bend over' or something. (he's trying for a reaction...and he likes her butt)
He actually says something like 'you have nice muffins'
so hilarious! :D
She makes him muffins later, and then tells him how he made a fool of himself :P
aine - June 25, 2004 08:19 PM (GMT)
sounds like a fun book. the dot hackers book was funny. love the pictures and little qouts they make.
"it is so ugly, i have to have it!"
DragonLady4 - June 25, 2004 08:29 PM (GMT)
'I can smell the rarity! *sniff* *sniff*'
Gemsykins - June 25, 2004 09:29 PM (GMT)
You cannot make me decide!!! LotR are fantastic films, and the books aren't bad either... But then HP are rocking books \m/
And there's nothing wrong with liking Daniel Radcliffe!!! Ok, so theres something wrong with me liking Daniel Radcliffe.... But there's nothing wrong with liking Sean Biggerstaff (LMAO!!!! I love his name!!!) There is a lot wrong with liking Alan Rickman however... That girl has the worst taste sometimes!!! *shudders*
Elijah Wood would be good too though.... I'd like to think he would be, anyway...
*It is at this moment that someone comes along and pulls me out of the gutter*
Other good books are the Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman :D
aleana15 - June 28, 2004 08:51 AM (GMT)
Lotr, or Harry Potter.... Lord of the Rings I think. HP books are really good, but just can't compete on the same epic scale.
I loved Hich hiker's Guide to the Galaxy as well. Hilarious. And His Dark Materials... There are just so many good books out there!
DragonLady4 - June 28, 2004 10:28 AM (GMT)
*pulls Gemz out of the gutter*
Bad girl. Honestly!
Dark Materials is good, but Elizabeth Haydons books..........^_^
Kaithar - June 28, 2004 11:56 AM (GMT)
hitchhickers guide to the galaxy is good, restaurant at the end of the universe isnt bad. but as you go throughthey get worse and worse.
his dark materials is quite good, its a shame that i have book 1 and 3 but not 2
DragonLady4 - June 28, 2004 12:08 PM (GMT)
Hey, have you read it? I can lend you it if you haven't.
aine - June 28, 2004 05:14 PM (GMT)
i have to agry with kaithar, as you read on they get worse and worse.

i am reading a book called the matwix. it is rally funny.
rapture taylore will know what i am on about.
CyanideWyrm - June 29, 2004 03:51 AM (GMT)
Shame on you, Gemz! Alan Rickman was great in Dogma.
"Well, I say we get drunk, 'cause I'm all out of ideas."
Gemsykins - June 29, 2004 11:36 AM (GMT)
Matewix... funny until you get to chapter 6.....
And I didn't mean liking Alan Rickman as in an actor, I meant as actually fancying him *shudders* I mean, each to their own, but he could be her grandad!!!
And I like the gutter, it's so comfy.... Heh!!! Can't spend too much time in their though....
DragonLady4 - June 29, 2004 11:53 AM (GMT)
I appreiciate all the acting, I just don't get it when people write hobbit porn
Gemsykins - June 29, 2004 12:08 PM (GMT)

DragonLady4 - June 29, 2004 12:11 PM (GMT)
*hits Gemz with clean brainwash*
No! Bad Gemz!
The Thought Fox - June 29, 2004 12:15 PM (GMT)
Very Bad Gemz!!
Besides, it's not just LotR - there's Harry Potter Erotica out there too!
:shudders:
DragonLady4 - June 29, 2004 12:16 PM (GMT)
I know, but I wasn't going to mention that...

Kaithar - June 29, 2004 12:19 PM (GMT)

The Thought Fox - June 29, 2004 12:21 PM (GMT)
DL, the fact that you and Kaithar post so much confuses me! Why else would i have a post count of four hundred, and you have one of over a 1000.
In other words, STOP STALKING ME!!! *cries*
Gemsykins - June 29, 2004 12:26 PM (GMT)

DragonLady4 - June 29, 2004 12:51 PM (GMT)

*runs off to post*
Kaithar - June 29, 2004 01:48 PM (GMT)

DragonLady4 - June 29, 2004 02:07 PM (GMT)
True, they're MUCH too slow :P
Old fogies.
Gemsykins - June 29, 2004 02:34 PM (GMT)
You young rips, no respect for your elders...
*waggles walking stick at DL and Kai*
Kaithar - June 29, 2004 05:52 PM (GMT)
its only becuae you are sooooo, slow. you just can't keep up with us
Gemsykins - June 29, 2004 06:04 PM (GMT)
It's all well and good for those of you who use the school computers, and have broadband, but for those of us at home, revising for our A-levels and only have dial-up, well now thats a different story. Internet thieves!!!! It's virtual highway robbery!!! :P
Kaithar - June 29, 2004 06:51 PM (GMT)
ahh, yes broadband is sooo sweet. not only that but i can still go on when my sister or dad are on the net on their laptops. so nice.
however i am supposed to be revising for a theory test so i had better stop going on quite so often
Gemsykins - June 29, 2004 07:15 PM (GMT)
*waggles finger*
Tsk tsk, you should be ashamed of yourself.. :P
Kaithar - June 29, 2004 07:48 PM (GMT)
nah, im going to fail it anyway so whats the point
DragonLady4 - June 30, 2004 11:49 AM (GMT)
:( wahhhhhhhh! I want broadband at home!
Maybe if I get a laptop I could steal Kai's by sneaking into his garden and accessing the wireless network....
The Thought Fox - June 30, 2004 11:54 AM (GMT)
I hope i can get broadband on my laptop. That's if i ever get a laptop
Kaithar - June 30, 2004 12:10 PM (GMT)
am i the only one with broadband then. nowonder your so slow
DragonLady4 - June 30, 2004 01:43 PM (GMT)
Batch, I think that all you should need is a lead to plug into someone's broadband. If you have it at Uni it might even be on a wireless network
The Thought Fox - June 30, 2004 05:14 PM (GMT)
Ah, but that would require a wireless laptop. Which i'm not paying for.
