Actually, it was DL who brought it up, saying that she wouldn't need a boy to take her out to a fancy restaurant. She said:

I would just enjoy it, and I think that getting a guy to take me to a v.fancy restaurant on a 1st date or 1st few dates might just drain his cash, esp. if he pulls the gentleman stunt and insists on paying for it :P

Not that the gentleman stunt is bad...I just hate people having to fork over lots of dosh for me.

Dude, that is so like me!! I feel really guilty if people other than my rents spend over about a fiver on me... Not saying that you should scrimp on my birthday present though.... :D
