-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Daniel finally found the Scottish hillside she tolled him about earlier that morning. Scratching his head, he looked for the little cottage. He found there were many sheep about ten feet from where he was standing. He then realized he must have found a back way. He hit himself a few times for taking the short cut.*
I really need to start following this accused map. I don’t really want to walk though a herd of sheep.
*Daniel opened his map. As he began to browse it, a strong gust of wind came from nowhere and blew the map out of his hands, into the sheep.*
Great… well, I better start moving. If I run around the sheep I might not waste too much time. I don’t want to be late!
*Daniel began to run. He was wearing black leather jacket with a white shirt underneath. He also wore blue jeans and brown boots. His long blond hair was worn in a care free, blowing in the wind style and his arms wear toned from a year of boxing. The cottage finally came into sight. He was almost there. Getting a cold sensation down his spine, he ran faster. He stopped about hundred feet from the house to make sure he was not sweating. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a red desert rose that he had taped inside. He pulled of the pieces of tap and threw them aside. He took a deep breath and approached the cottage.*
DragonLady4 - June 11, 2004 09:10 AM (GMT)
(Er...I get called DL a lot by friends, or wld you prefer Kirsty?)
***DragonLady would say that she looked like
this, but that would be a blatant lie. After all, who has wings?***
*DL is sitting with her kitty cat (a norweigan forest cat) when there is a knock on the door. She gets up, puts the kitty on the chair, checks her outfit: pink cords, a pretty blue top with - yes - a dragon on it in silver, and her butterfly necklace(blue) and dragon ring and...I'll leave it there. She opens the door, the kitty at her feet as it had followed her. She has her medium-long brown hair down, and she looks out of the door with green eyes*
Hello.
Lugana - June 11, 2004 05:20 PM (GMT)
(Do what you wish.)
*Daniel blinked a few times. He nearly said wow, but managed to stop himself. This was his first date in a long time and he didn’t want to ruin it with stupid outbursts.*
Hi. It’s me, Daniel. That guy you were talking to at the AU building earlier today. I’m here to pick you up for our date.
*Daniel, in his best attempt to act charming, nervously took his hand from behind his back and revealed the rose.*
Awww, this is for you.
DragonLady4 - June 14, 2004 01:50 PM (GMT)
aww, thanks.
*accepts*
you want to come in after that hike, or head straight out?
Lugana - June 14, 2004 05:27 PM (GMT)
I would usually accept your invitation inside, but we are running a little late. The reservations are set for the dinner hour. We have about half-hour to get there. Do you need anything before we go?
DragonLady4 - June 15, 2004 11:56 AM (GMT)
*grabs little blue bag and cuddles kittie*
Nope. Lets go.
Lugana - June 15, 2004 05:02 PM (GMT)
*Daniel let her step out and then he shut the door behind her. He offered her his arm.*
DragonLady4 - June 17, 2004 10:13 AM (GMT)
um, thanks.
Down the hills again, huh? Watch out for the lambs :D
Lugana - June 17, 2004 06:28 PM (GMT)
Yeah, well… I felt the need to take a shortcut earlier realizing I might be late and I found myself in your field with the lambs. I dropped my map into the heard and I haven’t seen it since.
*Daniel, a little embarrassed, tried to change the subject.*
So, what did you do today?
DragonLady4 - June 23, 2004 02:06 PM (GMT)
er...I've acquired an obessesion with bacon double cheeseburgers...although thats just weird...
Sorry. What did you do?
Lugana - July 13, 2004 04:47 AM (GMT)
(I have really used this line on a date before. True story.)
I crashed my car. That’s why I ran here. I was backing out of the driveway earlier today when a baseball hit the hood car and then I slammed of the gas, thinking it was the brake, and hit a tree. I think god doesn’t like me driving. I have been hiking across the state for many years now and I don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon. I don’t spend more then a day away from home at a time, so I have not seen outside this state. Maybe when I can drive a car without wrecking it, I will see the world. Until then, I travel this way.
*Daniel scratched the back of his head. That was a little more then he wanted to revel*
So, do you have any family?
DragonLady4 - July 13, 2004 12:02 PM (GMT)
YUP! Mum, dad, and Rapture_Taylore, my sis (that's her name on here, anyway) I haven't learned to drive yet, as I hear all about the crashes on the radio and so on. Ooer, I don't want to crash into things. But I will learn, because public transport is odd and goes the wrong way to where I want to go, for example:
when I was doing work experience I needed to go to Baddow, but I got on a bus (the right number) and it took me to Galleywood. Where is Galleywood? I have no clue. Poor me was stuck there with no idea where I was :(but I got to Baddow in the end :D
Lugana - July 16, 2004 05:52 AM (GMT)
*Daniel chuckled softly, nodding his head in approval*
I know what you mean. I don’t live near any buses, but I hitchhike. They never seem to be going where you are and every now and again you will find an old man that will bat his eyes at you. They like to take you pass your stop because they won’t quit talking and drop you off miles ahead of the road you needed to take. Sometimes I think they are all conspiring against the lonely travelers like ourselves to make traveling all that much harder.
*Daniel pointed to a near by hill*
The town should be just over that hill. I have dinner reservations for us at the most expensive place in town. Even nankeens are like ten dollars. Don’t worry about the cost when you order though. I have been saving up for quiet a while to eat at this place and I have been wondering what it is like.
While we are walking into town, why don’t you tell me a little bit more about yourself? You know, your hobbies and such?
DragonLady4 - July 19, 2004 10:33 AM (GMT)
*DL Kirsty continues walking along the hills with Daniel*
Well, um, first there's writing, in which I ALWAYS (dammit) have a male and female main character (not one character of both, one of each :D ) and since I'm a hopeless romantic (or just plain hopeless) they always get together in the end. Happily ever afetr. How cute
Then there's drawing, which is anything from my characters, Gemz and Batch's characters, to dragons  ah the dragons. I'm still getting the hang of drawing guys though. With Batches characters its easy, because I put them in a shadow heheh
Lugana - July 19, 2004 04:02 PM (GMT)
Sounds like my writing.
*Daniel smiled*
So, you seem to like dragons. How did you come along such a fascination? I always thought that dragons tended to eat people.
DragonLady4 - July 20, 2004 09:49 AM (GMT)
Well, I think that it actually started when the Pokemon craze was sweeping the world about 5 years ago...is that right? Um, and I started fdrawing them in a pokemon style (which Batch hated...heheheh) And my drawing style just progressed and I found out more and more about dragons and put them in LOADS of stories.
And technically, if you go by Dungeons and Dragons rules, gold, silver, and copper dragons are good, and green, blue, black, white and red dragons are evil. Would you like me to tell you their elemental powers? :D I'm slightly obsessed, apparently. thats what people tell me...
Um, I'm also into rock typey music, especially the Rasmus, the Darkness, HIM, and Evansence :D yay!
Lugana - July 21, 2004 05:59 AM (GMT)
Wasn’t Evansence the lady who sang, ‘Wake Me Up Inside’?
DragonLady4 - July 21, 2004 09:34 AM (GMT)
Yup. Its actually called 'Bring Me to Life', but they actually sing 'wake me up inside' a bit more often :D Their lead singers called Amy, and she had THE most AMAZING voice!! I wish I could sing like her. ahhh...to sing like that...
Lugana - July 21, 2004 06:17 PM (GMT)
(Usually I would ask you to sing, but I have not found a way to that over the forums yet)
*Daniel gave that some thought*
I sure you have a wonderful singing voice. That last time I sang was to torture and massive group of people at the same time. It worked pretty well.
*They finally made it to the town gate. Ce’mya not as small as a village, but couldn’t be called a town ether. I was more like and large group of people living in the same area with hostels and horse tracks. Daniel smiled at Kirsty as they entered the square. She wasn’t as bad as Batch made her out to be earlier that week. He just walked two miles with her and a dragon had not eaten him. Daniel realized that he kind of liked walking with her. He couldn’t put his finger on why, but he liked too nonetheless*
We’re here. That restaurant should be somewhere around here. Sorry, this is not my hometown. I have been here once and that was to find the restaurant. But yet, I still forgot where it was. Let walk that way and hope its there.
DragonLady4 - July 23, 2004 07:45 PM (GMT)
(Batch sees my insane side more than my normal side :D heheh...his expression is much to good to waste when I freak him out, though)
I can sing, just not that well. And not that high. I'd probably sound like a cat that was just sat on it I tried much higher than a high C. That'd send you running over the hills and hiding behind a sheep :D
And hey, I live round here but I still don't know where anything is. I have SUCH a bad memory.
-----btw, I'll be online quite a bit less often now, until september, probably only once a week-ish, because am now at home and on dial up :( ------
Lugana - August 4, 2004 02:56 AM (GMT)
Hmmm… where could it be?
*Daniel tripped over a small rock sticking up in the road. As he pushed himself up, he saw the restaurant ahead, just to the left of the bookstore*
Oh, there it is. Well, shall we go in?
DragonLady4 - August 4, 2004 03:52 PM (GMT)
okey dokey....mmm...food. Please excuse my small obsession ;)
Lugana - August 4, 2004 04:18 PM (GMT)
*Daniel laughed softly*
Don’t worry about it. After you…
*The restaurant was large and fancy. As Daniel looked around, he noticed many paintings hanging from the walls. The tables were all two-person and made of solid stone. The thing that caught Daniel’s eye the first time he came here was the notably large stone fountain in the center of the room with rose peddles folding in its pool. A song was playing over speakers. A waiter appeared in front of them as if out of nowhere.*
“May I take you and the lady to your seat?” He asked.
Yes my good sir. That would be lovely.
*That would be lovely? What was he thinking? The waiter brought them to a table in the dead center of the restaurant. Now that Daniel was closer, he could see that they even when through the trouble to carve roses into the one column supporting the table. They took a seat and ether of the table. For a stone chare, it was surprisingly comfortable.*
“May I take your order?” The same waiter asked.
DragonLady4 - August 6, 2004 10:48 AM (GMT)
umumum... *DL drops menu several times* let me have a look...
mm...salmon.
I'll have salmon please!
Lugana - August 6, 2004 04:11 PM (GMT)
Hmmm… how is stake sandwich?
*The waiter looked shocked* “Hmmm… well… it’s… we never had someone order that before. Are you sure you don’t want a lobster of something?”
I’m pretty sure
“Well, suit your self. Rare, medium rare, or well done?”
Well done please.
“Yes sir, I will be right back.”
*Once the waiter left, Daniel turned to Kristy*
He acted like I was crazy when I ordered that. My jobs require that I eat a lot of protean. Developing land wares on the musicals after awhile. Let’s see. Do you have a job? I mean, a job outside the AU building?
DragonLady4 - August 8, 2004 08:38 PM (GMT)
Yes, I work at Wyevale Graden Centre - and its just round the corner to me so I can walk and be environmentally friendly :D (--I worked there today and my feet are killing me cos I walked all last week too---)
I'm mainly on the tills, but in the morning I count out the till floats and also during the day I do odd jobs like cleaning out the hamsters ^_^ cute! and hoovering and such. And then at the end of the day I usually have to mop the ladies toilets. Not because the women pee on the floor or anything but....I'll stop now, because this is now reaching a weird level of conversation.
One example of weird conversation that I have had recently was: 'if you stir potato pulp and then make it into chips, have you stirred the chips?'
:D
What do you think?
Lugana - August 8, 2004 08:50 PM (GMT)
I think it can be considered as stirring potato chip batter in a sense.
*Daniel laughed softly*
It sounds like you have some interesting conversation.
DragonLady4 - August 8, 2004 08:57 PM (GMT)
I mainly have incredibly random conversations with Batch. I think that it reminds him of how sane he is :D
and I squee over bees with Gemz
Lugana - August 8, 2004 09:05 PM (GMT)
Sounds like the conversations I have with my friends. Wait till you start talking with trees when you are on the phone them. It can pretty much get you out of any conversation you want.
DragonLady4 - August 11, 2004 08:22 PM (GMT)
okay, check these ones out.
*speaks just a bit quieter as these ones are weird and odd*
'what if butt cheeks were concave?'
and
'what if you could steal peoples legs?'
great conversations that go on for, oh, minutes
Lugana - August 12, 2004 05:39 AM (GMT)
*Daniel lowered his voice to a whisper as well*
Okay, how about, ‘what if you digestion system worked backwards?’ Can you imagine walking a crewing gum if that was the case?
Or how about, ‘how much deeper would the ocean be if there were no sea sponges?’ Seriously. How deeper would it be if Sponge Bob would just find a home in a kitchen sink?
DragonLady4 - August 16, 2004 07:35 PM (GMT)
wouldn't the ocean be shallower, because the mass of the sponges would be removed?
sorry, veering off into strange conversation, but...
 stealing legs!!
Lugana - September 17, 2004 07:50 PM (GMT)
*Daniel laughed*
Yeah, this is a weird conversation.
*The salmon and the stake sandwich arrived. The waiter nodded his head politely and left. Daniel could believe the size of his stake. It took up the entire plate*
I thought I ordered a sandwich, not a cow.
DragonLady4 - September 17, 2004 07:54 PM (GMT)
*stares at sandwich*
hey...is that a leg poking out there...?
hey, I'm joking....well...I can't see any feet....
ugh, now I feel guilty about making dead cow jokes. My sister loves them. She collects anything with a cow on it!
bet you can't guess what kinda things I collect....
*tucks into food at a surprising rate*
Lugana - September 17, 2004 07:58 PM (GMT)
*Daniel gave some thought*
Er… pieces of brightly colored string?
DragonLady4 - September 19, 2004 07:34 PM (GMT)
erm...not quite (although I probably have a load somewhere on my desk - it resembles the Leaning Tower of Paper)
Guess again! :D
Lugana - September 19, 2004 07:41 PM (GMT)
Awww… giant wads of paper?
DragonLady4 - September 19, 2004 07:44 PM (GMT)
lol! Nope...although they do seem to accumilate all the way around that area of my room...
I'm talking dragons :P
Lugana - September 19, 2004 07:47 PM (GMT)
*Daniel laughed*
How can I not guess that one…?
We’re talking fake dragons… right?
DragonLady4 - September 19, 2004 07:57 PM (GMT)
nope. Real ones
There are fake ones?
