Title: Birthday presents
Kaithar - May 18, 2004 08:53 PM (GMT)
does anyone else struggle with this.
i need to think of a good b.day present for my sister by saturday. technically its her b.day tommorrow but i won't see her until saturday
Lugana - May 18, 2004 08:54 PM (GMT)
Well, what does your sister like to do?
Kaithar - May 18, 2004 08:57 PM (GMT)
listen to music and go out with her friends.
however a cd is a problem because it would be impossible for me to buy something she would like. she listens to some really obscure bands
Lugana - May 18, 2004 09:03 PM (GMT)
I know the feeling. My sister is the same way.
Hmmm… maybe she would like a Cdplayer or an Ipod. New headphones perhaps.
I would suggest buying something around the music area.
Kaithar - May 18, 2004 09:08 PM (GMT)
perhaps but i think she has al she wants and if she doesn't she will buy it soon enough. she has the same problem with me though. there just isn't anything i want.
i suppose i should have posted that you will be buying for a 19 year old
Lugana - May 18, 2004 09:15 PM (GMT)
19… hmmm. A ring maybe? Something to remember you by when she moves away.
Kaithar - May 18, 2004 09:23 PM (GMT)
shes at uni atm. and i couldn't affored a nice ring. i still need to find a job
Lugana - May 18, 2004 09:45 PM (GMT)
Since I doubt you live in the county, like myself, I don’t think I can give you many job tips. I am a logger. I cut trees down and turn them into boards.
Why don’t you buy her a cheap five-dollar necklace? It’s the thought that counts, right?

Kaithar, do you know that stall in the High Chelmer - Gecko? They do some good jewellery, and it's not that expensive. Failing that... Argos!
Or, in the music area, couldn't you get her something like Now 54 or something?
DragonLady4 - May 19, 2004 09:36 AM (GMT)
Argos is sooo good for jewellery! I love it. Get her something from there
Kaithar - May 19, 2004 08:15 PM (GMT)
yes im sure its great. now what sort of jewelry to get her. and nthing i cant afforered. wow this is complicated.
The Thought Fox - May 20, 2004 08:02 AM (GMT)
necklace or bracelet. rings are crap.
DragonLady4 - May 20, 2004 09:53 AM (GMT)
That comign from personal experience?
Sorry.
Argos is best for the stuff, browse by affordability, and then by colour or style. :)
God I'm such a woman! Surprises all round :P

Yes. That 'is' a 'surprise' since you are in fact a woman!
Gemsykins - May 21, 2004 08:44 PM (GMT)
Make her a card. We like that sort of thing. A nice card that you can tell took ages, not that was knocked together in 5 mins.
And you people buy jewellery for other people from Argos? Cheapskates! I get mine from Claire's Accesories :P
And she's not a woman, she's an artiste! Get it right! :P

Because that's so much more impressive

Hey, I’m cheap. I look around for good deals on jewelry in my town’s version of the black market all the time. When I get a good deal, I jump on it and save it for later. I have rings and necklaces stocked up under my bed, and when I need a present, I pull one randomly pick one out and give it to one of my friends or family members.
Sometimes I will find a hundred-dollar ring for forty dollars or so. It depends on if the fellow really is looking for a major profit of the old thing.
I have said it one and I will say it again, I’m cheap.

Ever heard of sarcasm Batch? Some call it the lowest form of wit, but as I always tell them, it's wit none-the-less!!!! :P
DragonLady4 - May 25, 2004 11:09 AM (GMT)
