Title: my problem

Kaithar - May 13, 2004 08:21 PM (GMT)
well i don't know that any amount of advise can help but i might as well try.

i have no motivation to do anything, really. people who know me could help explain to the others the full extent of this. i have no motivation for my school work or anything else. i don't do anything all day every day.

CyanideWyrm - May 14, 2004 09:49 PM (GMT)
Welcome to my life, Kaithar. There could be many reasons for this, but first I would like to know more about this.

Firstly, have you always felt this way, or did it start within the last few months, or is it something very recent? Also, do you always feel like this, or do you have a roller coaster effect?

Lugana - May 15, 2004 04:46 AM (GMT)
No motivation to do things? Ask yourself a question for me.

Is there truly nothing in my life worth fighting for?

No matter what the answer maybe, let us try to help. I know how you feel now. I was like you once upon a time.

nice and simple. nothing that i have found yet

p.s that last comment almost made me sound suicidal. well at least in my mind. i would like you to yake note that it isn't that bad. you will errr.....enjoy my company for years to come yet

Lugana - May 18, 2004 09:40 PM (GMT)
Lol, no I didn’t mean it that way. I don’t think you have been try to jump off building or anything.

Here, listen to my story.

About two years ago, a woman led me to god. She pulled me out of a tough crowd and stuck me into a youth group. At first I thought, “hey, lets humor her. I do believe there is something out there I guess.”

Next thing I know, my life changed. At first I felt sad from how many bad things I had done. I read that I wasn’t going to get a second chance and felt like I had lost. That’s when the same woman beat the crap out of me and showed me I was wrong. I begged for forgiveness and started over. I literally cleared my slate and went back to the starting line.

After that, I was no longer just severing myself in life. I feel like I had a purpose. I am helping others and feeling happy.

I was always interested in writing and decided to take it up after that.

I became smarter, faster, stronger, and more social. Why? It was because I had become closer to god.

I became a boxer shortly after. They saw what I could do in friendly fighting and I was never have walked over again.

Pretty much what I am trying to say is find god. You will feel better in every way, shape, and form. Next thing you know, you will have some motivation to do things.

Kaithar - May 19, 2004 09:49 AM (GMT)
your preaching to the choir.

i have found god and was baptised less than a year ago. however i have found it hasn't changed my life. at all really. i still have no motivation to do anything at all. i am glad that your life changed because of god but i have had no change.

perhads i just have to be patient. or maybve i have to work on it but there is the problem of it all. i just can't be bothered.

DragonLady4 - May 19, 2004 01:37 PM (GMT)
maybe you should do something rather than waiting for god to give you a poke in the eye and say 'DO something, punk.'

Lugana - May 19, 2004 05:36 PM (GMT)
She has a point there. You have to do something before he will help. Like the book says, “I will let a fool into heaven before I let a lazy man in.”

Kaithar - May 19, 2004 08:27 PM (GMT)
that's the problem with the lack of motivation. i just can't be bothered.

Lugana - May 19, 2004 08:34 PM (GMT)
Okay then, we need to find you some motivation. Any ideas Kaithar and/or the people who know him?

Kaithar - May 20, 2004 10:34 AM (GMT)
best to ask the people who know me. if i could think of anything then undoubtably i would have thought of it by now

The Thought Fox - May 25, 2004 09:37 AM (GMT)
I've been thinking but i can't seem to come up with anything. I don't really know how to motivate people in general.

Kaithar - May 25, 2004 10:10 AM (GMT)
it's hard isn't it.

but anyway, how do ypu motivate yourself, or anyone for that matter. even if you think it has no real relavence to me it still might help

DragonLady4 - May 25, 2004 02:31 PM (GMT)
chocolate is good motivation. How about treating yourself when you make an effort?

Kaithar - May 25, 2004 08:09 PM (GMT)
but that would make me spend my money on it, and i wil have to refrain from eating it as soon as i get it.

sorry but thats just too hard.

The Thought Fox - May 26, 2004 08:48 AM (GMT)
When in doubt, videogames or writing.

OR, find what inspires your writing the most and spend as much time as possible doing it/seeing it/being there (depending what it is). This will then inspire your writing and you'll be motivated by how good your stories are getting. The thought of being published will keep you going...

DragonLady4 - May 26, 2004 11:18 AM (GMT)
unless your name is DD :P

Kaithar - May 26, 2004 12:11 PM (GMT)
or unless like me the thing that motivates my writing is that i have nothing better to do and really want to do something

DragonLady4 - May 27, 2004 08:37 AM (GMT)

Kaithar - May 27, 2004 10:42 AM (GMT)
you find that fun do you. do you?

:P

it doesn't hgelp though not doing anything at all

DragonLady4 - May 27, 2004 10:58 AM (GMT)
  ^_^

Lugana - May 28, 2004 01:09 AM (GMT)
Well, you seem to have motivation to find some motivation, right? Well, lets start there. All you need to do now is stand up and do something. If you don’t know what to do, ask us.

Kaithar - May 28, 2004 09:03 AM (GMT)
well my main reason for posting this was because i thought it would be an interesting thing to discuss. i had little hope that you would be able to find anything that would motivate me.

however i might as well see where this goes. Yes what shall i do?

Lugana - May 29, 2004 12:12 AM (GMT)
Hmmm… Let’s see. Since I don’t know you too well, I am going to have to ask a few questions first. What are your interests? How are you built? And what state do you live in?

Kaithar - May 29, 2004 05:56 PM (GMT)
o.k then lets see.

first of i am i am poorly built as in i am thin and weak. i play little sport except for badminton that i play once a week. as you may have guessed my social life is as good as non-existant.

i quite enjoy problem solving and that sort of thing. i have an avid intrest in ancient battles (not historically, but more just the tactics and the actual fighting of it.) i read quite regullally and my favourite genre is fantasy. all of these things make me love the game warhammer which is a fantasy battle game. it includes the use of tactics for the battle as you have to direct your troops around and includes my monsters and different races (such as the rat men known as skaven)
problems with it are that the weapons arn't accuratly portrade. some troops are a lot more powerful than they would be in real life and other troops are weaker.

the sort of games that i enjoy the most are generally tactical based games where you have to think and plan.

however i'm not really intelligent and i am very lazy. i sometimes think that being lazy is addictive. it is a hard thing to break the habit of at least.

i live in a moderate sized house and generally have access to what i want or need. flashy gizmos arn't included in that.

if you wish to know anyhing more just ask. whatever it is

DragonLady4 - May 29, 2004 07:38 PM (GMT)
er....Kaithar? Not Intelligent? You aced a science exam without revising? Remember?

Honestly.

Lugana - May 29, 2004 10:08 PM (GMT)
Well, there are few things we can do then. You can aim to become a strategist in the army. You can aim to become stronger. You can aim to find love. You can to aim become a scientist. You can aim to change yourself entirely or to change only bits and pieces.

Whatever you aim for, make sure its something you love to do and its something that gives you a sense of pride.

We are still young. We still have time to change our lives for the better. What I need you to now is to search yourself for the answer, and when you wake on Monday morning, to put it into action.

Like the Bible says, we are not getting other chance. Might as well make the best of it.

that dep-ends on what you call aced. my last science test that i did i got 82% which is an A with my usual lack of revision. however that depends on what you class as intelligent. its true that i can normally do quite well in my exams with no form of effort but overall i still wouldn't class myself as intelligent.

QUOTE

as i recall they don't often use swords in the army anymore and i have no real intest in guns

QUOTE
You can aim to become stronger

i really don't care at all for physical strength.

QUOTE
You can aim to find love

can you really look for love. it seems to me that you find it when you find it. once it's found then it has to be worked on but the initial finding is just luck isn't it?

QUOTE
You can to aim become a scientist

that is a potential aim but school work is boring in its entirity. perhaps because i don't have to work on them at all to get good grades in for the things im good at.

DragonLady4 - May 30, 2004 07:02 PM (GMT)
*sigh* he's terrible, isn't he Lugana?

Lugana - May 30, 2004 08:41 PM (GMT)
He is, but I am not going to give up on him yet. Hey Batch! Help us out here.

DragonLady4 - June 10, 2004 12:01 PM (GMT)
Ha! I think Kaithar's sucked all of the life force from him. :P

Kaithar - June 10, 2004 03:40 PM (GMT)
what batch. he clearly refuses to come on here and you desperatly need all the help you can get to get me motivated to do something

DragonLady4 - June 11, 2004 08:49 AM (GMT)
or maybe he's staying away from any threads you start now, Kai :P

Kaithar - June 11, 2004 01:50 PM (GMT)
what, why. once you realise how simple the complexities of my mind are you won't understand at all

DragonLady4 - June 14, 2004 10:33 AM (GMT)
how simple the complexities?? Isn't that one of those things like angelic devil, and Microsoft Works?

Lugana - June 14, 2004 05:30 PM (GMT)
Hmmm… give me a little while longer. I will think of something. Hmmm….

Kaithar - June 16, 2004 02:33 PM (GMT)
QUOTE

that was the whole purpose of posting it.

it is nice to see that someone hasn't given up yet. everyone else seems to have given up.

DragonLady4 - June 17, 2004 09:55 AM (GMT)
*cries* no one noticed the microsoft pun! <_<

Kaithar - June 17, 2004 10:48 AM (GMT)
i did but again, ive seen it before

DragonsDomain - June 18, 2004 11:22 AM (GMT)
Look at your pm's Kai, I've suggested something which I'd rather not post here for personal reasons.
