but I probably have the answer...
Fill up the 3 gallon and pour it into the 5 gallon.
Then fill up another 3 gallon, and fill the 5 gallon to the top.
You will have 1 gallon left in the 3 gallon.
You pour everying out of the five gallon into the ocean.
Then you pour the 1 gallon in the 3 gallon into the 5 gallon
Lastly, you fill up the 3 gallon and pour it in the 5 gallon.
And then you have 4 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket.

CyanideWyrm - January 20, 2004 04:26 AM (GMT)
Your breath

You get into a drinking contest with a man.
The rules are quite simple:
He, being an expert drinker, will drink two drinks.
You, on the other hand, will only drink one.
However, the expert gets to drink the first drink before you.
Once he finishes and places the glass down, you get to drink.
However, you cannot touch either of his glasses.
Thinking it easy, you take the challenge.
The expert finishes both drinks before you even touch your glass.

How did he beat you?

Lugana - January 20, 2004 04:34 AM (GMT)
There was only two glasses?

CyanideWyrm - January 21, 2004 12:12 AM (GMT)
No, three glasses, one for you and two for the other guy.

Lugana - January 21, 2004 02:48 AM (GMT)
He drank you drink and then one of his. So you cannot touch the glass in font of you…?

Gypsy - January 21, 2004 03:27 AM (GMT)
thats got me stumped

CyanideWyrm - January 22, 2004 01:45 AM (GMT)
--ANSWER--

The expert beat you, but not by skill but a cheap trick.
After he drank his first drink, he placed his glass over yours.
Unable to touch the glass covering yours, you could not win.

Simple, huh?

Lugana - January 22, 2004 02:38 AM (GMT)
*Lugana hits himself across the head.*

That would make sense.

Eagle - January 31, 2004 12:08 AM (GMT)

Eagle - February 7, 2004 10:09 PM (GMT)

DragonLady4 - February 9, 2004 01:57 PM (GMT)
man: a baby on 4 at the start of his life, a man on 2 in a middle, and an old man with a walking stick at the end. :)

A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys.
How can this be possible?

DragonsDomain - February 11, 2004 03:24 PM (GMT)
If she has 6 children, 3 are boys. She is pregnant with another, but doesn't know the gender?

DragonLady4 - February 11, 2004 03:24 PM (GMT)
WRONG!!!!

DragonsDomain - February 11, 2004 03:27 PM (GMT)
ALL the children are boys, so 1/2 half are boys and so is the other half.
