Title: New Codex Chaos Space Marine.
Description: unit selections.

The Love Duck - August 16, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
This is lifted straight off the GW web site!

"HQ choices are many, with a total of seven special characters, the Daemon Prince, Chaos Lord, and Chaos Sorcerer from which to choose. For Elite choices, Chaos commanders have four possibilities; the veteran Chosen Chaos Space Marines, nigh-indestructible Chaos Terminators, diabolical Possessed Chaos Space Marines, and the powerful Chaos Dreadnought. For Troop options, Chaos can go with either Chaos Space Marines, Plague Marines, Noise Marines, Khorne Berzerkers, or Thousand Sons; the last four units being devoted followers of Nurgle, Slaanesh, Khorne, and Tzeentch, respectively.

When it comes to Fast Attack, Chaos has three unit choices in Chaos Bikers, Chaos Raptors, and Chaos Spawn. Finally, what Chaos Space Marine army would be complete without a few units that can do massive structural damage? This is where Chaos Havocs, Obliterator Cults, Predators, Vindicators, Defilers, and Chaos Land Raiders enter the fray. That is a total of six Heavy Support options! Last but not least are the Summoned Daemons. Both Lesser Daemons and the monstrous Greater Daemon can be brought to battle using the Summoning Daemons rules."

So we now have vindicators for all CSM armies! dreads are elites! spawn are fasts!

this looks COOOOOLLLLLLL!!! :)

I hear tell that anyone can now have 9 Obliterators, not just Iron Warriors.
And Vindicators too. Gosh, lucky they get daemons, otherwise we might start believing they were loyal servants of the Imperium with a few spikes stuck on. What's next, assault cannon?

Oh joy. Calloo callay, o frabjous day. <_< I would rather see a new Ork codex, and I don't even play Orks.

Say one might almost think from that negativity that someone has spent a little too much time at the helm of their little spaceship! ;) :P

the dreads as elites was overdue.

and orks is well overdue, they are so broken!

What the hell? Another Chaos codex? Didn't the last one JUST come out?

Errm about 4 years ago.....

And having read the pale imitation of a real codex (by which I mean the power-gamerz R Us, munchkin-a-thons like oh, say, Codex Eldar) which masquerades as the current Codex CSM, I can only say "Where are my Nids?" :(

No more bloodletters or deamonettes, just big daemons and little daemons. OK, so there is supposed to be a daemons only codex next year, but that will be a pamphlet rather than a codex.

No more veteran skills. No cult lists. Reduced wargear options. These are supposed to be bitter foes of the Imperium, not Space Marine Lite™. Some of them have been around since the Horus Heresy and have jack to show for it anymore.

 *steps away from the keyboard under the guns of the Rant Police*

Yeah i was disapointed myself, they dont even get the doctrines stuff the loyalists can take..... it does suck....

especially since the newer models (termies, posessed, spawn)look really cool...

still im taking a step back from GW gaming for a while now, fed up with it....

My new project is Alzozero's Operation WW2.... free rules that you can download from their site, for a quite fun looking WW2 wargame...
