I dunno matey, I had a really nice battle against a WH last GT. I was kicking major ass until those Penace Engines came into play, those things are killer kans for the imperium dude..

As for DH (Which you wanted to know about) I dont like them all that much, they're just Marines who look like they've been pimped by Westwood and his Pimp My Ride team, sure they've got some nice anti-demon stuff but then again it's the only thing they can actually strutt their stuff with.

pimp my armour MTV'S new prime time show lol

but back on subject even if you aint fighting demons they are still quite hard am just a bit confussed when it comes to the inq's retanue.

any more points

What are you confuzzed on about the inquisitors retinue mate?

DH are a bit weak unless against demons, though the shrouding thing that makes them harder to hit is useful.

i like the models myself, and they are good when used with other armies, but a bit weak on their own.

Can you do that?

I know you can take a whole raft of Gaurd units (Karskin I think)

The Love Duck - April 9, 2007 11:47 AM (GMT)
Yeah, you can.

you can take up to
1 HQ, 1 Elite, 2 Troops and one fast as allies for; space marines, imp guard and SOB

or you can add inducted guard or (not and) marine units to a DH army.

As regards the retinue: If you read the original books, it was Inquisitor Jaq Draco (power or terminator armour, force weapon and psycannon), a Navigator called Vitali Googol, Callidus Assassin Meh'Lindi and (whisper it) a Squat named Grimm. I hear more recent editions have replaced Grimm with someone equally technically minded but less... short. :D

In the second and third books of the trilogy, the Navigator gets eaten by daemonettes and they pick up an Imperial Fist captain called Lexandro d'Arquebus.

Where does GW writers glean their insperation from?

Lexandro d'Arquebus???????

The Love Duck - April 15, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
Yeah, but their stuff is full of stuff like that, like Tau is in frank herberts dune as the word for greater good of the sietch.

QUOTE (The Love Duck @ Apr 15 2007, 08:00 PM)
... Tau is in frank herberts dune ...

There was another Dune? :P I mean, I know his son and Kevin Anderson have written some prequels, but they don't hold a candle to Dune.

As for Captain d'Arquebus, blame Ian Watson. There was a man who never used one syllable where he could use five.

But are still dune novels, so Nyaahhh!!!
