Worst 40k model/unit: The New Chaos Possessed

There have been a lot of poor 40k models in the past (namely Doomrider, Fabius Bile's guards etc) but on the whole the model quality in the past 2-3 years has been really quite good.

However, what the hell was GW thinking when they released those? Not only are they pointless (afterall, that's what the mutations sprue is for), they look like they were scuplted with blue tac and a pencil! Not only that, they look far more funny than they are scary, like possessed clowns from a child's nightmare!

Anyone else got any pet unit/model hates? (Chuck in some WHFB onesin here as well if you like, this is just posted here to make the 40k forum a bit more active!)

I don't play 40K so I'm not really qualified to judge....except that I really like Eldar and the only thing that's stopping me getting an army(apart from the fact that I've just started wood elves) is that I hate the models soooo much.

Eldar should not look like they're wearing a fat suit. And those vehicles...jet bikes rock but everything else just looks like something out of the worst anime you could possibly imagine (apart from the huge expense thing on Forgeworld, but let's not even go there.)

Worst WFB models....
The dark elf cold ones. The only reason they do any damage is that the enemy is laughing too hard to hit them. They look like Barney, and you should have seen the look of generic-GW-staff-member-no-1 when I told him I was considering painting them all like Barney.

DE war hydra. Last time I looked it didn't have enough heads. 'nuff said.

DE manticore. It's a beautiful model...except that none of the bloody limbs fit!

WHFB ones

Wood elf tree kin and treeman models. we do not want a random twig golem, which looks like one of the 5 year olds in store put it together thank you!

Von carstein vampire (on foot and mounted) i have never seen a more uninspiring vampire model. i truly loath this one.

the new plastic dwarf soldiers in the skull pass set... if they can make the thunderers and miners and the rest look so good in plastic for this set, why oh why would you make these awful pieces of tat?

Catachan jungle fighters. (these just suck)

any or all of the dark eldar range, with the exception of the talos and raiders.

i can't really comment on the fantasy ones as im not overly familiar with the range but the Catachan jungle fighters are truly horrible!

Do you have any pictures of the possessed sculpts?

I dislike the looks of nurgle chaos marines.

Dude the Nurgle marines are bitchin compared to the old tubby ones.. On topic though I really hate the new plastic scouts so badly.. they're poor sculpting quality and to think my personal hero Brian Nelson did them.. brutha if you read this: STICK TO ORKS/ORCS!

Ive seen worse marines than those posessed sculpts. My friend made a better model of Lucius the Eternal, looked dam fine. He looks a lot cooler and sinister in the codex, he looks like a retard in that model.

Yeah, the marine scuplts have gotten considerably worse recently. Lucius was a cool idea, but the only chaos special charachters i would buy for the models are the older ones (Ahriman, Kharn, cypher and termie dude whose name i forget.)

I have to admit I quite like the new lucius model, but fair play. What about the new eldar stuff? I have to say I really like those! The only ones I didnt like at first were the howling banshees which looked a bit fat but up close in the flesh as it were, they are really quite nice...

I'm not the world's biggest fan of the new Dark Reapers and their silly heads. the Exarch is mint though

Yeah, the only one that has really sold me is the wraithlord.
