Welcome to Elendil's Abstract Tutorial

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I am here to teach you on how to make a simple but professional looking abstract signature from scratch. It will also include multi-colour. My tutorial will include no pictures, here you must use pure brushing.

Abstract is a really good style for a signature, it is more advance and has a better look that grunge and is one step to making a tech signature.

1. Now with begin with step 1. Create a new file that is about 385x135, that is my normal size your size will work as well. And now fill it with black using the 'Paint Bucket' tool.

2. We first begin with our brushing of white, if you are panicking and you do not have any 'Abstract Brushes' you can get them from many places.

Now back to brushing, make sure you do not make your background too bright / white. Put in some cool brushes its OK if you make it a little bright. Like this

3. Now make a new Layer(shift+ctrl+N) and start brushing in some black, this black is to just not the signature to hard on the eyes, brush only brush a little bit, to not make it too bright.

Variety - If you have many brushes that go well with black, you are able to make many different layers of black or white colors to balance out the brightness, do not make it too dark or too bright, although we will need a little bit of bright. (Remember layers make the signature).

Now that you have applied your black brushes it should look like this.

4. Now to add your colour. Click Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Color Balance Layer (ctrl+B ).

Make the settings like this:
Shadows 50 0 -50
Midtones 50 0 -50
Highlights 50 0 -50

After that do the clouds effect.
Filter>Render>Clouds

5. Make another Color Balance Layer

Make the settings like this:
Shadows -50 0 50
Midtones -50 0 50
Highlights -50 0 50

After that do the clouds effect.
Filter>Render>Clouds

6. Make yet another Color Balance Layer
Make the settings like this:
Shadows 0 0 0
Midtones 0 50 0
Highlights 0 50 0

After that do the clouds effect.
Filter>Render>Clouds

Now this is how your sig should look right now, with a multi color

7. Now lets add some brightness and contrast

Optional Step 8. I would like to add some stars in my signature, to give it a little effect.

Make a new layer and choose color white. Now get a brush of stars and brush abit, 1 or 2. Not too much, you should have a starry effect.

8. Now you would like some text on your signature, now get theType Tool (T). Write your name 'Elendil' for me, and put a black stroke around the text that is 1px.

9. Now to add a 1px border. Make a new layer (shift+ctrl+N) and select all (ctrl+a) and add a stroke
Edit>Stroke. Make the border black and 1 px.

You now have an Abstract Signature ready for you.
