Title: Munchkin Tournament!

Dusty - December 3, 2008 04:29 PM (GMT)
WHERE: Commuter Lounge
WHEN: Tuesday, Dec. 9, 6 PM
WHO: Any Drexel student and/or member of AGO

Tournament will consist of three rounds. Each round will end when one player reaches level 10, or after one and a half hours have passed. Each player's ending level will be recorded. Final score will be the sum of levels from each game.

Each player will pick from one of the three sets I own (Fantasy, Bites, and Cthulhu). or provide their own set from among those not listed (if you do, be prepared to share with other players who want to use it). Fantasy expansions I do not own are not eligible for submission. Each player is limited to drawing from the deck he has chosen, and will share with others who choose that deck. As standard for Munchkin, cards that allow you to interact with other players' cards allow interaction between sets, and players may make any sort of deal, trade or arrangement that they choose (with the exception of trading levels).

Official tournament rules are in effect, and will be made available at the tournament. Official Munchkin merchandise may be worn, carried, and used, provided the player with the item brings the appropriate rules themselves.

Additionally, I'll be taking the role of the Arbitrary GM. I will have a (printed) list of actions and consequences. The first player over the course of the tournament to perform one of these actions will receive the consequence, be it positive or negative. Subsequent attempts to abuse the known list entries will be ignored. The list will be available for review after the prizes are awarded. The Arbitrary GM reserves the right to add to the list for unforeseen events he feels deserve special action- hence, ARBITRARY. On, and here's a HINT: Many items on the list will be themed to Finals Week and/or the holidays. Tread with caution around either topic.

Prizes:
There are three prize sets, which will be revealed at the tournament. First place will get first choice of prize. Third place will get second choice of prize, and second place gets the remaining prize. Why? Because this is Munchkin, and second place is the first LOSER.
