my 8 yr old has recently been diagnosed adhd he is due at hosp again next wk to discussbest medication and dosage etc. in the meantime however i have explored alternative medications as i am reluctant although not totally opposed to chemical interventions having heard what a difference they make. i have been giving him a herbal remedy called 'FOCUS' i was told that i should see a diff in 2/3 wks and we have. he has beome much calmer and more focused, not as annoying and more interested in particular things eg; he is starting to read wrds in the environment -he is way behind in his learning and until now has not shown any interest in learning at all and would not sit long enough at anything b4 jumping to the next thing. the diff is subtle and gradual but continuous so no highs and lows. it is early days but i am going to discuss with paed and give it at least another 3 wks & see if school notice diff-friends and rels already have-but they know he's on it & school don't so that should be the proof.
has anyone else tried this remedy?- it is a mix of herbs mainly ginko bilbao and rooibos root along with some others which i can't remember at the mo.
i would love to hear from anyone who has tried this or anything else for that matter. this website is brilliant by the way. thanks kayx
