Title: How do you put on an attachment?

Anne4Terry - October 26, 2005 03:12 PM (GMT)
I did the browse thingy, found the photo I wanted on my pc, then couldn't see how to upload it onto my message :dunno: I wanted to put a photo of my doggie on the dog or cat person thread. Sorry for being thick :embarrassed:

All you need to do after browsing, finding and adding the file in the browse box is to click on the 'Add Reply' button and it will automatically upload it with your reply. It doesn't show in preview, but will come out in the post. :)

Hi PR - I tried that too (with a photo)and it told me the file was too big - or something similar. :(

What size is your photo ? The upload limit is about 60k.

If it is bigger, are you able to resize it yourself, down to about that size ?

Thanks ABCD yes I did check the size it was too large. I do have pix resizer thing soapy told me about when I was making my avatar. I have 30 free uses then I have to purchase it - or find another freebie! But it was late and I was too tired last night to do it.

I was wondering though, how people put a thumbnail photo in their post that you can click on to see full size. Bix does this a lot.

How is this achieved, please?

Thanks
I love learning about all this. :) :thumb:

Lol, now you should be able to see how that works! :thumb:

If you upload a picture, it puts it in a thumbnail. Or you can link to an image, using the IMG tags. To do this, you need to have the picture hosted at a website. Have a look at PhotoBucket or ImageCave.

PS I still don't like catssssss. :shrug: :P

* Groan * :rolleyes:

How many times have I heard that?! :blink:

I accept that a lot of people love cats, but they're just not for me. I think I'm too old and cynical to change now, Luvvie, sorry. :bashful:

Thank you, they like you too, they said. They are meant to be skinny, they are Siamese, they have a longer, leaner body shape than other cats. I must admit though, in that picture I caught them in a less than flattering pose they are sitting rather strangely, when they do their tea-cosy impression they look more cuddly!
I hauled them into position and dared them to move, I think they look unnatural because of it! I'll post some more another time when I've figured out how.
