Dermoid cysts are usually removed by laparoscopy as they can grow bigger and burst. I am not sure if they are removed if they start to bother you and cause pain, as that is when its usually diagnosed as women would have a ultrasound and it would be found. This is what happened to me. As yours was found when you were being scanned for something else, I am not sure if they would remove it as its not causing any pain or problems.

Anyway if you are advised to have it removed, it would be done by laparoscopy and would normally be day surgery with very quick recovery and little discomfort.

Good news on your other results

That is good about the news on your back and good luck with the cysts. All very worrying when they find things you are unsure of but from what Mel said it sounds like a simple procedure if needed. Good luck

so pleased for you that the results haven't thrown up anything too serious, but still would be better if you didn't have to have the laparoscopy. Will keep fingers crossed that everything will be fine and dandy. XXX
