Check to see if it has already been taken by someone else here:

Put your chosen name in "Organisation name" box, and then
Select the last option *Names"
then click search, and it will check all names, Business & Company, and give you the result of similar registered names throughout Australia.

Even if a Business name is registered in another State, you can normally get it registered yourself, in a different State to the one it is registered in.

Note: Under the status column:
RMVD = removed, and probably available again.
REGD = Registered, in the State mentioned.
DRGD - Deregistered, normally for Pty Ltd Companies
