Title: Please help me
Description: you know I'm a numpty on the pc

OK, when I very first log onto DAF it is still coming up with the black Halloween skin. As soon as I've clicked on a thread or anything then it reverts back to normal. The thing that is really bugging me is that whenever I want to post anything, be it a reply, new topic, or pm it is taking forever for it to come up onto the screen. I can type away quite happily but as soon as I press 'add' I just here for at least 2 minutes waiting for it to completer before I can do anything else. It's only DAF that it is doing this on :dunno:

Please remember that I am a total derbrain with pc's, I will need a step by step guide. ;)

no idea Anne, my Halloween skin disappeared straight after Halloween and I didn't need to do anything. Perhaps it's because you're now a mod - have you checked with PR ?

More to the point have you cleared your cookies and temp files/cache lately? That's what I'd be doing first as the Halloween theme is long gone and I can only think that your computer has cached it.

Ah, you have the patience of a cock in a henhouse. :P

Roight, go to your 'Tools' menu and click on 'Options'.

When the pop up window appears, choose the 'Privacy' tab.

In the 'Cookies' section, click on 'Show Cookies; a new little window will pop up. Click on 'Remove all cookies' then close that window.

Back in the 'Privacy' tab and the next section is 'Private Data'; click the 'Clear Now' button.

Now click on the 'Advanced' tab, then choose the 'Network' tab. In the section marked 'Cache', click the 'Clear Now' button.

And you're done!

Cheers PR. Think I'll do it later though when Terry is in a better mood and not fussing over what I'm doing with the pc
