Title: Moving to Adelaide in a few months

suzer - October 28, 2007 06:09 AM (GMT)
Hi all,

I'm originally from Chicago, lived in England about a year back (Leeds and London), and will be moving back to Adelaide in a few months and would love to meet and/or chat with others who've made the move. My husband, who is originally from Adelaide, and I, are living in New Zealand at the moment and have been here in Auckland for the past 4 months. We just submitted our spousal visa application this week. I spent 4 months in Australia (3+ of those months in Adelaide) before we came here. A little nervous about the move as it's a smaller city than I'm used to etc, but am looking forward to fixing up the house and settling in a bit after being a bit nomadic the past few years.

G'day Suzer :)

Gar, you must have ants in your pants. Getting around a bit eh ?

Ah...Chicago, the windy city and the home of my beloved Bears.
Been out of touch for several years now as I followed them weekly in the days when Fridge Perry graced Soldier Field.

Anyway, enough of my reminiscing. :welcomesign: to the forum.

G'day Suzer and :welcome: aboard!

What a great time you've had, living in various places around the world!

We have a couple of members in Adelaide and I'm sure you'll find all members helpful and welcoming as we've all been through the move at some stage!

When do you expect to make the move to Adelaide?

Welcome Suzer, you've found a nice homely place here for info

Bix - I have to say I'm a Bengals supporter myself, but alas, no foxtel :( so just have to read what's happening instead.

hiya proofreader,

thank you for the very colourful welcome:)

we submitted out spousal visa last week, and while it can take an average of 6 months, i'd guess it'll take closer to 3, then we may stay in auckland another month or so before we head over to adelaide. i'd like to have a trip back to chicago first for a visit before i have to start settling in, getting a job and building up holiday time etc.

won't be long now....
