i've been out in the cold for 2 years
standing on the threshold wondering if i should come in or not
i can hear the laughter and feel the warmth from inside
it's so inviting but something's holding me back, the unknown i guess
it's been too long, why did i go? why didn't i return sooner? why am i here now?
not sure about any of those

i got this far so i'll poke my head in and look around for a friendly face

what's been going on, er right, where do i begin? 2 years is a long time
i'm sure many that know me know all that anyway, i guess i can summarise
i became a dad :) and we're expecting another newbie to join us at Christmas
also we're leaving these fair shores at some point next year to return start a new chapter somewhere in the UK
i'm a bit older, greyer and not really any wiser
