:dunno: Is there an equivilant to DLA in Australia?How long would you have to wait to be able to claim?

My wife is registered disabled in the UK.

Yes, we have disability allowances in Australia. All government benefits and pensions are done through Centrelink. The wait may depend upon what type of visa you have/are getting.
