Title: Child seats and the law in OZ?

Flasher - August 8, 2006 04:23 PM (GMT)
Hi
When we arrive in OZ we are hiring a car from the airport, does anyone know the law on child car seats. Here they have booster seats and was going to chuck them but I am wondering if we should take them.
Not sure on restrictions for them.

Car hire companies will usually be able to provide booster seats and/or baby capules, but you may need to book these in advance. Not sure if there's a fee involved.

Road Safety Queensland - FAQs should answer most questions you'd have regarding the law on child restraints. They also provide links to two websites from which you can hire this equipment.

Thanks again proof reader, all the info was there on a page which shows correct fitting as well as weight restrictions.
Your link was most helpful.
