Title: My Assistant
Description: Gone!

moneypen20 - April 28, 2006 03:58 AM (GMT)
Since Invision did whatever they were doing yesterday, when I call up My Assistant, it says it's not available. Will it be able to come back? or has it gone forever to the Invision board in the sky :D Actually it seems to be anything except reading old messages or writing new ones.

Sorry, MP, I've been awol for a bit.

I've had a fiddle and a dig around in the support forums and haven't come up with an answer. I've submitted a support ticket to see what the go is. Will let you know when I get a response.

I, too, get a message to the effect that access is denied to a certain IP address when trying to use either the 'My Assistant' feature or the 'Show All' in the emoticons section. Is this what you got?

I think I know what the problem may be, but am seeking proper confirmation and the correct/easiest solution.

I found one article in which it is suggested (but not verified) that anyone using Firefox may need to upgrade their version of the browser. I'm about to do this anyway, so will advise if it makes any difference though I suspect not.

For anyone using Firefox, its always a good idea to upgrade to the latest (free) version anyway. The latest version of Mozilla Firefox can be downloaded here.

'My Assistant' always locks out my computer as work, so I stopped using it.

They've probably got a pop up blocker, Manx.
