Title: Is it my computer or...
Description: is the forum really slow changing pages?

TopCat3 - March 26, 2006 07:48 AM (GMT)
It seems to take forever to change between threads or go back to the main topic section lately.

Is it my computer or is anyone else experiencing this?

If it's just me, can anyone give any technical advice in plain English please?

:dunno: :ph43r:

Whatever your computer has, mine has too. I thought it was because of something my girls had downloaded but not sure. Had big problems with another site last night but ok today but this is abit slow, but that's ok cos I am too

Good morning ladies! :D

Ok, good evening to you both, then. ;)

It's not slow for me, so I'd suggest that perhaps you need to clean out your history/cache/cookie files? If you've already done that, then it may just be a logjam of people all on the net at the same time (now doesn't that conjure up a strange mental image??!! ) Try again in, say, an hour and see if it's any different.

If you need help with the clean up process, just let me know which browser you're using (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)

Quite so PR. :thumb:

And whens the last time you ladeeeees had a good defrag ?

I can recommend it

Yes I thought it might be time to clean out those areas PR been too busy piling stuff in to sort it out, bit like the bottom kitchen drawer we all have!

Bix, is that like de-fristing the frodge?

Yes seriously I need to defrag too perhaps that's the problem too.

Easter is a good time to do things like that.

I usually end up cleaning the oven too. Yuk. :depressed:

Oh no no no, I don't clean the oven. Hubby does that. In fairness most of the cleaners are so toxic they can set off a migraine at 50 paces :scared: Don't bother with the more gentle ones because they don't seem to work - according to OH anyway :thumb:

TC and MP, has it been any better since then? Do you think it was a 'once off' (likely to be internet usage by too many at the same time) or has it been a problem regularly?

If anyone is having regular problems with slow loading pages, I'd be really pleased if you could jot down the dates and times and let me know, then I can tackle it on the support forum. :thumb:
