Some basic info on the commonly used Streamline Account is


Monthly Account Fee - $5.00

Electronic Option
The Monthly Account Fee entitles you to 15 electronic withdrawals per calendar month. Fees are charged for all assisted withdrawals. Each withdrawal in excess of the threshold will be charged a withdrawal fee.


Assisted / Electronic Option
The Monthly Account Fee entitles you to 2 assisted and 5 electronic withdrawals per calendar month. Each withdrawal in excess of the threshold will be charged a withdrawal fee.

The following table defines withdrawals and details the fees for transactions not included in the Transaction Option.

Excess Withdrawal Fees - $0.30 each
  • Transfer from your account made at a Commonwealth Bank Automatic Teller Machine
  • Direct entry debit or periodical payment
  • All transfers or bill payments made through NetBank and Telephone Banking
Excess Withdrawal Fees - $0.50 each
  • Cash withdrawal or purchase made via EFTPOS
  • Cash withdrawal from your account made at a Commonwealth Bank Automatic Teller Machine
Cheques negotiated - $1.00 each
  • All cheques written by you and negotiated through the clearing system, excluding cheques cashed over-the-counter at any Commonwealth Bank branch.
Assisted withdrawal - $2.00 each
  • A withdrawal made over-the-counter at a Commonwealth Bank branch
  • A withdrawal made over-the-counter at a postal or private agency (including EFTPOB/giroPost).
  • A cheque issued on your account and cashed over-the-counter at any Commonwealth Bank branch
  • A withdrawal made via Telephone Banking using an operator.

CBA have altered their Streamline Account fees to either $4 or $6 per month.

Unlimited* everyday Commonwealth Bank transactions including
Branch withdrawals,
Commonwealth Bank ATMs,
Internet Banking (NetBank),
Telephone Banking,
EFTPOS and
cheques written.
